Listening to the heartbeat of our world

It is important to monitoring a person's heartbeat. So is to monitoring other stuff, i.e. airplanes, bridges, skyscrapers, etc . They have resonant frequencies that is similar as living creatures’ heartbeat. Can we make all of these monitoring simpler by using just one wire?

The answer is: Very Possible! With our recently developed fiber Bragg grating accelerometer, which reduces the size and keep the

sensitivity, I expect it would happen in the next 10 years. By that time, we could listen to the heartbeats of those important stuff.
