Mann is part of the Hopewell Culture, with the occupation of this site around the year 300.

Could possibly be the largest and most advanced Hopewell site in all of North America

500+ acres with 20-25 mounds Population is unknown due to lack of research. Last excavation was conducted in 1971 Current property is owned by 9 different

families.

Large village site with population at around 2,000 people

11 earth works designed to elevate the elite. Earth works are truncated pyramids

Purchased by Eli Lilly and the Indiana Historical Society in 1938.

Excavations since 1939 annually by Indiana University.
