Annual Conference of Indian Brachytherapy Society, IBSCON - 2019 scheduled between 30th August to 1st September 2019.

Brachytherapy being the most conformal and time-tested form of Radiation therapy, has evolved in terms of applicators, imaging, software, QA tools etc. in the recent past. We are also fortunate to be a witness to a high-level evidence in Breast, prostate and cervical cancers in favor of brachytherapy. In order to rekindle and reckon brachytherapy, IBSCON 2019 has been dedicated to these sites with a theme of “Precision Brachytherapy –

The art and science”.

IBSCON 2019 starts on 30th August 2019 with a pre-conference workshop which focuses on “ Demonstration of common brachytherapy procedures ”. The next two days of the conference will deal with brachytherapy application / implantation in various common brachytherapy sites. Sessions will also include live video demonstration of various brachytherapy applications, evidence for common brachytherapy procedures, discussion on practical implementation issues, proffered paper presentations and presentation on Developments and Innovations from manufacturer's perspective.

We request the delegates to send abstracts related to Brachytherapy / Quality of Life which will be discussed by experts in the form of posters and oral presentations. The best oral presentations (1st and 2nd) will receive Brachytherapy Fellowship Program in India to motivate residents / junior faculty & enhance their knowledge of Brachytherapy.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND AWARDS

• The abstract should be on the topic of Brachytherapy / Quality of life.

• Abstract Submission Closing Date: 15th August 2019

• All Abstracts to be submitted by email to: ibscon2019abstract@gmail.com

• Only one abstract per delegate will be accepted. GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: Registration is compulsory for abstract submission. Abstracts must be submitted in a word or pdf format. Abstracts should be 300 words maximum including the section headings. All abstract should contain the email id of the author. The title, authors' names, email id and professional affiliations are not included in the word count.

• Title: The abstract title should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals. The abstract title should be

concise and describe/refer to the content.

• Authors: Authors' names should be supplied in capital/lower case, not all capitals. Institutional affiliations

should be indicated at Affiliation No. following the author name.

• Affiliation: All affiliations should contain institution, city and country.

• Body: The abstract should be structured to include an introduction, Material & methods, Results, Tables (max.

2) and Conclusions. Abstracts which do not contain the actual results of the study will be rejected. Please do

not include references in the abstract.

• Images / Tables: Up to 2 supporting images or tables for your abstract are allowed. All images should be cited

in the text of the abstract.

• Abstract Acknowledgement: All presenting authors of submitted abstracts will be notified as to whether their

abstract has been accepted for Oral or Poster presentation.

• Final list of abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be notified on 16th August 2019

• AWARDS: Best Oral presentations (1st and 2nd prize) will receive Brachytherapy Fellowship Program in India.
