“ We Gather In God’s Presence...” Prelude Music (Please take time to prepare for worship and silence electronic devices) Greeting and Ministry Updates Introit “Oh, the Depth” Johnson

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and the knowledge of God Who has known the mind of the Lord, or has been God's counselor? How unsearchable God's judgment! How untraceable God's ways!

Call to Worship Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth! Amen!

Christ has shown us the way to eternal life; Christ is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. Christ calls us to love God with all our being, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Christ is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. Now is the time of worship, to love God with all our hearts. We worship God, who has shown us the Way, who is the Truth, and leads us to Life.

Prayer *Hymn ‘Lord, We Hear Your Word with Gladness’ HOLY MANNA

Call to Confession Unison Prayer of Confession

God of compassion, we pray for all vulnerable people; for the causes behind their susceptibility. We come to confess that often we have not even tried to become involved in changing people’s environment, or easing their distress. We confess that we make excuses to cover our blindness or deafness to people’s needs; and instead, wait for someone else to offer their help and to do the things we should at least be attempting to do. Generous God, challenge us afresh to be your people now in this time and place; so that justice is not just a slogan, but an action carried out in love and sensitivity for God’s people. Hear our prayers, O Lord…

Fifth Sunday After Pentecost The liturgical color today is green representing the growth and mission of the church!

Response ‘Cry of My Heart’ Butler

Words of Assurance and Hope God is gracious and upright, and remembers us in goodness and love. God sends God’s son so we may know divine compassion. Because of Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. We can be put back on the path of the righteous, and grow in the knowledge of God. Thanks be to God! Amen. The peace of the Lord be with you always! And also with you!

Message: Series on Gratitude in the Psalms (2 of 4)

Anthem "Teach Your Children" Nash

You, who are on the road, must have a code that you can live by And so, become yourself, because the past is just a goodbye Teach your children well; their father's hell did slowly go by

And feed them on your dreams; the one they pick's the one you'll know by Don't you ever ask them why; if they told you, you would cry

So just look at them and sigh, and know they love you And you (can you hear?) of tender years (do you care?)

Can't know the fears (can you see?) that your elders grew by (we must be free) And so, please help (to teach your children) them

With your youth (what you believe in) They seek the truth (make a world) before they can die (that we can live in)
