RESULTS OF BEING FORGIVEN (vv.7-12)He is cleansed, v.7He hears the sounds of joy and gladness, v.8The bones which GOD has broken rejoice, v.8His sins are hidden from GODs face, v.9A right spirit is renewed within him, v.10He is not cast away from GODs presence, v.11He has the joy of salvation, v.12QuestionHave I experienced the liberating effects of being forgiven? If not, why not?III. WHAT DO WE DO AFTER BEING FORGIVEN (vv.13-19)What should we do after we are forgiven?Help other sinners repent and turn to GOD, v.13Sing aloud the righteousness of GOD, v.14Our mouth shows forth GODs praise, v.15Offer sacrifices to GOD

Have I done all of the above? If not, why not?

What kind of sacrifices does GOD delight in? v.17A broken and a contrite heartWhat are the conditions for GOD to accept our offering?- GOD does not desire our sacrifices when our sins remain unconfessedWhen we confess our sin, GOD forgives us. Does it mean that particular sin has no more effect on our life? Why?- When GOD forgives us, HE no longer punishes us for that sin. But the effects of that sin can remain.

James 4:7SINCONFESSSINCONFESSSINCONFESSRESISTIV. HOW DO WE OVERCOME HABITUAL SIN?Be aware that the battle is in our mind. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.Have a prayer partner to whom you hold yourself accountable.Walk closely with GOD. Read HIS WORD daily.

SINCONFESSRESISTCONCLUSIONWhenever we sin, our only recourse is to confess and cry out, LORD, forgive me.No amount of excuses or alibis can ever be acceptable. What our LORD wants is a broken and contrite heart. Then HE restores within us joy and a right spirit.

SINCONFESSRESISTThe highest praise, glory, honor and power be to JESUS by whose blood we are redeemed and forgiven from all our sins.Grace and peace be with you all.Amen.Praise God!19
