MODULE 1Looking through… the Loving,

Merciful and Compassionate Heart

Your Look , O Lord

Lord Jesus, You are looking at me. You magnetize me with your gaze that calls my whole being to return to you.Your eyes mirror your holiness and unconditional love for me.With your gentle look, you let me become more aware Of my fearful and sinful nature, proud outside but weak inside.

You never take your compassion away from me. Like you, I want to become forgiving and compassionate. May I be able to lead others to take noticeof your presence.Your look, O Lord, give me the grace, give me the courage. Give me the eyes that look to no one but you. Amen.

Luke 22:61-62

The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Tears of God Carey Landry

I saw a woman with her children near the shelter door, hoping there would be more room. Then I saw a million people, poor and homeless ‘round the world, and I thought I saw a tear fall on each one.

Chorus 1

I thought I saw the tears of God I thought I saw the tears of God I thought I saw the tears of God falling like the rain.

I heard a young child crying, and when I turned to comfort her, I saw the look upon her face -a hollow, frightened stare. Then, I saw a million children, cold and hungry, ‘round the world, and I thought I saw a tear fall upon each one.

Chorus 2

I thought I saw the tears of God I thought I saw the tears of God I thought I saw the tears of God falling like the rain.

Nation fighting nation; hatreds settled with a gun. neighbor fighting neighbor, father against son.

Chorus 3:

Who will dry the tears of God? Who will dry the tears of God? Who will dry the tears of God and help to heal the pain?

Blessed are the ones who suffer persecution for justice sake, Blessed are the sorrowing for they shall be consoled. Blessed are the poor in spirit, they shall know the reign of God. Blessed are the pure of heart, they shall see their God.

Chorus 4: Shall we dry the tears of God? Shall we dry the tears of God? Shall we dry the tears of God and help to heal the pain?

Praise and Thanksgiving (cf. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16)

Lord you said, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people. We praise you, Lord, and we thank you.

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We praise you, Lord, and we thank you.Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. For now I have chosen and consecrated this house so that my name may be there forever; my eyes and my heart will be therefor all time”.We praise you, Lord, and we thank you. Amen.
