Housing arrangements fell through, and they need to move very soon. SERMON APPLICATION 1. Describe a person who is “abiding in the vine.” What does their life look like? 2. Does the ‘fruit’ of my life show that I am ‘abiding’ in the “Vine?” If not, what are the obstacles that make abiding difficult? What do I need do to ‘abide’ more consistently? WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY :: The women’s fall Bible study begins this Wednesday, September 8, 9:30-11:30AM at OBF. Community members and students are welcome! We will study Faithful, Abundant, True by Kay Arthur, Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. You can purchase books at the office or on the first day of the study for $15. Our Women’s Ministry is looking for childcare workers for the study. The rate is $20 for the two hours. If you are interested, contact Lisa Creech at [email protected].

Today’s Speaker, Christian Pettitt
Christian and his wife, Lisa, are Miami alumni and have been on staff with Campus Crusade since 2000. They have three children: Emma, AJ and Anna.
This summer, the Pettitts ministered to students at several universities in Chicago, including the University of Chicago and University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Their theme for the summer was “Magnificent Christ”
and Christian, in particular, was able to share his faith with several students of diverse religious backgrounds. During this time, he witnessed two men come to Jesus: Fabin and Brian. Both Christian and
Lisa also spent time training other CCC staff members.
