1 Praise God for three more residents who completed their GEDs in December!

2 Pray for the Dental Clinic as it expands services to the uninsured in our community.

3 Praise God for a delicious Tropical Smoothie meal/party that was donated for clients of our CHOC program and staff!

4 Pray that God will protect our clients from addictions, abuse and the temptations that draw them to these habits.

5 Praise God that several volunteers worked extra shifts in the clinic to help cover for others who needed time off.

6 Pray for the Learning Center staff and volunteers as they navigate the new GED testing format.

7 Praise God for a volunteer who provides a hot lunch for our Lancaster children every other Friday!

8 Pray that God will continue to provide strong candidates for open staff positions at WSM.

9 Praise God for Teen Haven’s student leaders, both at camp and in the cities, and for their godly example to their peers, friends, and community!

10 Pray for a client who has made some tough decisions, owned up to her mistakes and continues to hunger after God and His Word.

11 Praise God for our new Welcome Center, which helps us meet and help guide people around the campus.

12 Pray that the Word of God will continue to take root in the hearts of Wonder Club students.

13 Praise God for a grant that allowed the Dental Clinic to hire a part-time dentist.

14 Pray for the committee that is planning the Top Chef Dinner Auction that will benefit Water Street Health Services.

15 Praise God for the safety He has provided to our drivers while driving on roads affected by poor winter weather conditions.

16 Pray that our residents would find God’s love for their lives.

17 Praise God for Wonder Club’s partnership with the community through Fulton Theater’s Building Bridges program in our Pre-K classrooms.

18 Pray for the staff of the Women’s Ministry as they are shorthanded and the shelter continues to be full.

19 Praise God for the many, many coats that were donated during this especially cold winter.

20 Pray for our leadership team and their families and for encouragement through the challenges they face.

21 Praise the Lord for the generous grant that will allow the Lancaster Teen Haven to develop a more formalized sports ministry to the young boys in the neighborhood.

22 Pray for the health of our staff, residents and volunteers during winter and the cold and flu season.

23 Praise God for the many volunteers and donors who help WSM provide for our community’s needs.

24 Pray for the Water Street Health Clinic as they minister to the whole person, beyond just medical and dental issues.

25 Pray for the preparations and successful launch of our new trauma-informed dental program.

26 Pray for a deepening of relationship with Christ for all who work and reside at WSM.

27 Pray for the families of our staff who are experiencing significant health issues.

28 Pray for our clients to know that they are indeed loved, cherished, wanted and valued, especially by Christ who died for us.

No Losses – Only Gains

During this past Christmas season, a dental patient came to us with severe tooth pain. After an examination, he was told that he would need to lose his tooth because we were not equipped to do root canal treatment in the WSHS Dental Clinic. The patient broke down and sobbed. He told us that he was not able to handle another loss in his life.

The dental staff prayed that God would provide healing and a way to save the tooth. A dentist was contacted who volunteered to bring in equipment

to treat the patient. At this busy time of year, it was amazing that the timing worked out with the patient’s and dentist’s work schedules. When the tooth was tested a few days later, there was no sensitivity and the tooth had completely healed. The patient was in awe to see how God helped to work this out!

Praise God for His faithfulness with this patient and showing our clients how much He loves them and wants to preserve things that matter to each one.
