Prawaas 2017

Prawaas 2017- India International Bus & Car Travel Show organized by BOCI (Bus Operators Confederation of India) along with MBMS (Mumbai Bus Malak Sanghatana) and FOTTO (Federation of Tourists Taxi Operators) was held between July 28-30, 2017 at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai with the theme Towards Safe, Smart and Sustainable Transport. MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications was the Event Partner for the event.

INAUGURATION Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Government of India, flagged off the inaugural edition of Prawaas 2017 with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony. The event was graced by Shri Yoonus Khan, Hon’ble Minister PWD and Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Jaykumar Jitendrasinh Rawal, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra and Shri Swantantra Dev Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Transport, Protocol, Energy, Government of UP. Industry Captains Shri T. Venkataraman, Senior Vice President, Global Bus, Ashok Leyland, Shri Girish Wagh, Head - Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd., Shri Akash Passey, Senior Vice President, Business Region International, Volvo Bus Corporation, Sweden graced the occasion with other dignitaries that included Shri K.T. Rajashekhara, Chairman, BOCI, Shri Prasanna Patwardhan, President, BOCI, , Shri Sunil N. Savla, Director, Mumbai Bus Malak Sanghatana (MBMS), Shri Zubin Khopoliwala, President, Federation of Tourists Taxi Operators (FOTTO), Shri Jagdish Patankar, Executive Chairman, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF EVENT

For the 1st time ever 3000+ Bus Operators from more than 25 States of India and

2 Union Territories participated in the event.

Prawaas 2017 was a one of its kind event which was witnessed by 9 Ministers from

Central & State Governments, 14MLAs and other bureaucrats.

Conference was addressed by 110 top-notch Speakers from all across the globe.

Exhibition attracted 10000 Business Visitors who interacted with 120 Exhibitors

representing best of Bus & Car Manufacturers, Body Builders & Allied Industry,

Technology Solutions, Financial Institutes, PSUs, Start-Ups and NGOs.

1st Prawaas Excellence Awards recognized best of the operators from Private,

Public, Bus Body Manufacturers, IT Solutions, Passenger Choice Bus Operators. The

Life Time Achievement award was conferred upon Dr. O.P. Agarwal, WRI India at

this occasion.

A Grand Valedictory Function and Exhibitors’ Awards concluded the mega show.

After the superlative response to the Inaugural Edition, it was announced that 2nd

edition of Prawaas will also be held in Mumbai.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE Prawaas 2017 Conference, a thought-leadership forum brought together all the stakeholders to deliberate on India’s vision for public transport and the role of road transport. The Conference was addressed by over 110 national and international experts addressing diverse topics.

This 3 Day event attracted who’s who of the Bus & Car sector from the public and private sector for the first time ever. The objective of Inaugural Edition of Prawaas was to develop unified vision that would facilitate safe, smart and sustainable integrated public transport solutions.
