Women status over the years is
in bad shape inspite of other
developments.
Not just rural but urban
educated areas too face similar
problems of women insecurity
and inequality.
Women security is the major
issue, solving which will itself
enhance women equality and
empowerment.
Efficient law making process for women security and their powerful enactment
3
Overview of proposed solution: More job opportunities for women in law sector. Ease for women to be secure, as dealing out their problems with women officials will be easy.
Model suggesting process of women security and
women empowerment
4
The decision makers should comprise a considerable ratio of females which would enhance the understanding process.
These officials should be given an authority in law making and enactment process.
5
Description Of Process
Appointing female candidates for women welfare posts through public sector exams.
These portals will be in direct interaction with public official who are a part of law making and enactment process.
The system would give a chance to the youth to contribute their views on governmental law process.
Existing system simply provides women a platform to lodge complaints, so here we provide a portal where their identity is anonymous.
Not just launching complaints is a feature, but they are given freedom to discuss their everyday problems.
6
Generation of online portals through which practical life
problems of women can be reported and discussed
Including suggestions of female volunteers appointed in
rural areas in law making process for women
7
Organizing training program for female government volunteers like- Anganwadi workers.
Volunteers should be in constant interaction with rural women about their status of living and ill treatment, if any.
Volunteers be well trained in basic computers, and able to educate rural women about various social issues.
Inferences made by volunteers during these interactions, mandatorily be uploaded on regular basis on the public portal.
Thereby considering problems faced by women in rural areas in law making process.
Financial requirements for the process
Organization of training programs.
Cost of IT equipments like computers, internet for the volunteers.
Generation and maintenance of public portals.

Training Organization 0.5

Cost Incurred for the process – per village (including IT setup at volunteer centers)
Risks and Challenges To The System
• Providing advertising space for education oriented business on portals would enhance women empowerment along with revenue generation.
• Awareness campaigns.
• Providing benefits to government volunteers so as they work efficiently.
9
Conceptual Risks:
•Right placing of public opinions.
•Government finds the fact viable to
promote more females on women welfare positions.
Implementation Challenges:
•Unbiased Interaction of youth and
public law making officials. •Managing group of women volunteers required for training in each rural area.
Mitigation Factors:
Advantages
No high infrastructure required, because we are basically aiming at a common interaction platform.
Transparency insurance which aims at better enactment of laws for women which are existing but not well implemented.
Portal systems for discussing problems among women keeping their identity concealed is far effective and easy than a manual process.
Mass involvement is assured which will result in formation of pragmatic laws adhering to real world problems for women.
Youth which is the “so called” driving force is given a chance to
speak out for law making of such serious issues.
10
Study of inadequacy of existing solutions to the
problem
Solutions which government has already been implementing and are a failure to solve the problem:
Providing female reservations.
Providing awareness camps for women.
Providing special education and health schemes.
Providing complaint lodging mechanisms for women, and many more….
Simply educating women as to how they should secure themselves, is inept. Rather the law governance should be strong enough so that problem creators think before committing crimes. Countries like USA, provide a safe society for women with a strong law mechanism. Hence, the proposed solution may prove efficient.

Statistics •Since 1989 there has been 25% increase in crimes with women. •According to planning commission report,85% of women have somewhere faced domestic violence. •Issues like marital rapes are still not considered crime in India.
