ntome that students has started submiting online applications through National Scholarship Partal (https:/scholarships.gov.in)of Government of India for the following scholarship schemes of AICTE:
M.AICTE - PRAGATI scholarship scheme for girl students (Degree Level) 2. AICTE- PRAGATI scholarship scheme for giri students (Diploma Level) 3AICTE - SAKSHAM scholarship scheme for specially-abled stu 4. AICTE- SAKSHAM scholarship scheme for specially-abled student (Diploma Level)

The eligibility for the above schemes are as follows:
A. AICTE Pragati (Degree & Diploma):
Kan 1) The girl candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree/Diploma level course
OR
Second year of Degree/Diploma level course through lateral entry only in any of the AICTE approved Institutions of respective year. 2) Maximum two girl child per family are eligible. 3) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by the State/ UT Government needs to be enclosed. 4) Must have taken admission in AICTE approved institutions and AlCTE approved courses only. 5) The gap period between the year of passing the qualifying examination and the session of admission in a degree/diplomacourse shall not be more than two years i.e. Students must have cleared 10+2/10th in 2020 or 2019 or 2018 for taking admission in the first year in Degree/Diploma courses respectively in the current academic year. Similarly, for students taking admission in second year directly through lateral entry only in Degree/Diploma in the current academic year, they must have cleared diploma/lTI respectively in 2020 or 2019 or 2018.
B. AICTE Saksham (Degree & Diploma):
1) The candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree/Diploma level course

Second year of Degree/Diploma level course through lateral entry only in any of the AlCTE approved Institutions of respective year.

It has been observed that some of the institutions are verifying application of the students who have taken admission in 2019 or earlier batches. These students are not eligible for the AICTE scholarships in the current academic year. A detailed role and responsibilities of the institutions for the first level of scrutiny is enclosed for your kind reference pl. The principals/directors are requested to kindly scrutinize the applications received in their login on the National Scholarship Portal strictly as per the above guidelines.

Responsibilities of Institutions to facilitate AICTE Pragati & Saksham scholarship schemes

Verification of the Eligible Students enrolled in the AICTE approved Institutions
and AICTE approved courses as per scheme guidelines are only eligible for the scholarships. Institutions shall verify the above along with other documents submitted by the applicants e.g. eligibility for the scholarships, proper entry of % of marks in 10th / 10+2, Income certificate, Category Certificate, Maximum two girl child per family availing the above scholarship
certificate, mandate form The gap period between the year of passing the
qualifying examination and the session of admission in a degree/diploma course shall not be more than two years i.e. Students must have cleared 10+2/10th in 2020 or 2019 or 2018 for taking admission in the first year in Degree/Diploma courses respectively in the current academic year. 4 Aadhaar Card aar number should match with details in the online application & uploaded Aadhaar card. Institutes to ensure bank details verified on basis of
following: i)Student name should match with HSC for Degree
level & SSC for Diploma level mark sheet, Aadhar and Bank Details. Joint bank account - Allowed

iv) Bank account should be active with aadhaar seeded and same must be checked at aadhar| website before forwarding Pragati & Saksham

Institute should check other documents i.e.
1. Category Certificate, 2. OBC (Non Creamy Layer - issued within one
year), 3. Physically handicap certificate (for Saksham|
Scholarship Scheme), 4. Declaration by Parents, 5. Annual Family Income Certificate,
6. Study Director/Principal/HOD

Institute/College should verify document & application
and ensure its timely submission. Institute has to ensure that the student doesnt receive any financial assistance in shape of scholarship/ any emoluments, salary, stipend etc. from any other source during the course of study in the Institute, in such condition the scholarship shall be cancelled and the entire amount of scholarship will have to be
refunded to AICTE by D/Draft drawn in favor of "Member Secretary, AICTE" payable at New Delhi on the following address:
