Monday 6th * Scott & Ytreberg. Discuss Chapter 8: "Planning your work" * SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) DVD * Analysis of four different lesson templates. Wednesday 8th * The arc of a lesson: - Warm up: How to set up routines - Body of a lesson: Importance of transition. - Ending/Closing the lesson: Homework assignment, reflection. - PPP: Pros and cons - ESA: The straight arrow, the boomerang and the patchwork - The Communicative Continuum, from PPP to ESA * Webquests: DVD from Nickley Haukey, examples to be used at Primary School. Monday 13th * Jeremy Harmer (2007): Chapter 21. Questionnaire, home- reading. Oral debate about key issues.
