Here’s how we do it..

Practical Action enables people to learn skills and have access to technology that makes their lives better. In Bangladesh, floating gardens are being developed to enable families to grow vegetables to feed themselves during the many months of flooding.

Eco-loosIn Zimbabwe, Practical Action is working with communities to improve access to clean water and toilets. These ‘eco-loos’ are dry toilets that don’t need water and could bring vital sanitation to thousands of people, helping to reduce the spread of deadly diseases such as cholera and dysentery.

What your money could buy…By having an OrangeAid day in January and raising money Practical Action promise to put your money to a great cause.

With the school’s support…

•£140 could buy five floating gardens for families in Bangladesh.•£380 could buy an Eco-loo for a community in Zimbabwe.•£1,000 could secure a wind turbine for a village in Peru.
