Background

Objectives• Goal is to replace current SeeBeyond Retail Components with TIBCO EAI

components to deliver a technology and framework improved scalability, reliability, stability & maintainability. RBP is one of 8 SOA Subprojects to replace SeeBeyond.

Drivers• Minimize or reduce operating failures produced from current SeeBeyond

Application and Architecture.• Reduce maintenance costs associated with up-keep of SeeBeyond Application

and Architecture.

Dependencies• PR50025 – Enhance ESIID Look Up on TML GUI has cross-impact with Retail TML

Functions • PR50121_08 EndPoint Services has dependency with RBP as built on same

framework and need schedule to stay in synch.• PR50059 Siebel Transition to ODS has dependency on RBP DDLs • PR50060 EIF Transition to ODS has dependency on RBP DDLs

• Load/Performance Testing: (Rescheduled) Starts 11/22 - 90%

Additional Information:

All transactions received by ERCOT will be held at NAESB.  Market Participants are encouraged to limit transaction submission during this timeframe to normal transaction processing volumes.  (ie. no annual validation).

  *** NAESB will be offline from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2006 for a server reboot.  Transactions WILL NOT be accepted by ERCOT while NAESB is offline.  Market Participants should not submit transactions during this time. ***

•  867 Transactions will NOT be forwarded during the outage weekend.

997 Functional Acknowledgements will NOT be sent during the outage weekend.

Cancel/Notification batch process may run after 6AM on Monday, 12/11/2006. (if rollback)

Retail Components of TML and API will NOT be available including:

o Report Explorer / Search Reports (Includes statements and extracts)

o Find ESI ID

o Find Transaction

o Submit Transactions

o USA Functionalities

EXTRACTS Siebel Service Order Extract will not run during the migration.  Full extract received on

Tuesday, 12/12/2006 will contain all Siebel Service Order history, including data from Friday thru Monday.

Data Conversion Load Mitigation:

• Reduce the outage to the Market by ERCOT Go-Live with 3-6 months of 2006 descending transactional data (previously stored in Seebeyond TCH Database)

• Phase in remaining years on following weekends. ETC by late December 2006 / January 2007

• Retail TML and API Find Transaction will be limited to Data Conversion Load
