&ewers, to whom was referred the estimate and report of the city engi­neer relative to the construction of lateral sewer iii district No. 20 (Wall street and Broadway), beg leave to report that they have had such esti­mate and report, as well as the reso­lution of the common council, under consideration and have made (Jue iu-(juiry relative thereto, and your com­mittee is of the opinion tha t there is necessity for the construction of such lateral sewer, and tha t special taxing or assessment districts ouglit to be tixed bythe common couucil upoii ancl agaiust which the constructioB of such sewer may be charged, street cross-ings excepted, pursuant to the ordiuaJJce in such casQ made and pro­vided.

Your committee further recommends that resolutions fixing the boundaries of said district be prepared by the city engineer and the board of public woiks ordered to advertise for bids for coustruL-tion of above named 5e\\ er.

be constructed a lateral sewer in lat­eral sewer district No. 26 {Wall and Broadway), t he construction of the sanie is hereby ordered.

Resolved, further, t ha t the city en­gineer furnish proper boundaries by the aex t reg^ular meeting of the coun­cil, and this order and determination be certified to the city assessor and the board of public works, and the board of public works advertise for bids on the construction.of said sewer, without four-inch pipe. Resolved, t ha t the actual cost of constructing a main sewer from the main sewer proper, from Fuller street on Wall street to Broadway, in pro­posed sewer district No. 26, be paid by the city out of the proper fund when the amount is determined, and the remaining cost of constructing sewer in sewer district "Ko. 26 be spread over entire said district No. 26.
