• He has one year training as instrument maker.• Watt thought on steam engine during the

repairmen of Newcomen’s device. • Fly shuttle (John kay 1733 )• Spinning jenny (james hargreaves, 1774)• Marquis used it in power boat.

Achievements

• Addition of cylinder and separation of condensing chamber was the important improvement by him which resulted increase in efficiency of steam engine.

• Set of gears is also his invention through changing the mutual motion into a rotary motion of engine.

• Watt invented centrifugal governor to control pressure speed of steam engine and motion of engine.

• He also did invention in mining. He gives us idea how to remove the shortage of energy.

Achievements

• It describes that in the area of magnetic; wire move continually if electric current pass through the wire.

• Electric motor was his invention in which electric current could pass. Chemical batteries were the only source of generating electric current.

• Then faraday’s say that current can also pass through wires if magnet can pass thorough wires, a current will flow through the wire, if continually movement of magnet(Faraday’s law).

James clerk Maxwell

Page 22: Ppt. on personalities

• He was the inventor of 4 equations.

• He changed a large huge data into a simple equations.

• electromagnetic wave can spread in the space.

• Periodic oscillation of electromagnetic field are possible

Page 23: Ppt. on personalities
Page 24: Ppt. on personalities

Achievements

• He described that speed of these waves are 300,000 km as same as speed of light.

• Besides electric and magnetic laws optics laws are also obtained from his equation.

• Heinrich hertz was able to protect and produce invisible waves

Page 25: Ppt. on personalities

Continued…

• Invisible waves are used for wireless communication, TV, and in the field of biology.

• He did research on many others fields just like in science and also invented theory of heart and science.

• He also invented theory of gases.

Page 26: Ppt. on personalities

Continued….

• He also described about the speed of molecules.

• “Maxwell distribution” was a formula of Maxwell. This formula describes molecules of gas will move in what fraction
