Task #1

Brainstorm Session

• Students will brainstorm the various environmental factors that may influence an individual’s sexuality.

Class discussion. 10 minutes

Small Group Task

• In small groups, students will discuss and record (on chart paper) the possible impact of these environmental factors on an individual’s sexuality. Assign a person from each group to report to the class your findings.

15 minutes

Page 7: PPL 20 Unit #3 Activity 3 Exploring Environmental Influences on Sexuality.

Individual Activity Students will complete a sexuality wheel in which each spoke represents an environmental factor that might impact a person’s sexuality. Students will identify one factor for each spoke. Between the spokes, the students will explain how each environmental factor might affect an individual’s sexuality. The students will identify the degree to which the factor influences their sexuality using a five star rating.
