2. What is Power@MyPlace™? Top
Power@MyPlace™ (P@MP) is a free messaging service designed to provide timely and accurate information via SMS
text message or email to registered customers for a range of services
Power@MyPlace™ currently offers a range of subscriptions:
1. Power outages
when we are aware the power is out in your area
when we anticipate the power will be restored
confirm when we believe your power is back on
2. Next scheduled meter reading
The date range within which the electricity meter reader will attend your property
Power@MyPlace™ can be accessed directly via www.poweratmyplace.com.au or by following the links on the SA
Power Networks website www.sapowernetworks.com.au.

Registration: Opens the registration form
for new customers
Log – in: for customers who have already
registered. Your account ID is your mobile
number or email address
Forgotten password: this link will generate
a temporary password to be sent to your
nominated mobile or email address

4. Registration Top
To complete the registration process you will need:
A mobile phone number or email address
A recent power bill which contains either the meter number or the National Meter Identifier (NMI)
As you complete each field, if we detect any errors we will display a red alert and provide you with some guidance so
you can correct the information.

4.1 My details Top
Select your own preferences for how and when you would like to receive messages from us.
4.2 My property Top
We need to know the property for which you wish to receive messages.
Name: the name of the person creating the Power @ My Place
account
Mobile: the number to which we will send SMS messages. This will
also be your Power @ My Place user ID
Nickname: select a name which helps you identify the property,
for example: Home, Shed, Mum’s house

Account holder surname or business name: enter the surname or
business name as it appears on your electricity account

Suburb: enter the suburb 3
NMI (National Meter Identifier): this number is 11 characters long
and is printed on your electricity account. It will start with either
200XXXX or SAAAAAXXX Meter number: this number is normally 6-7 digits
long and is printed on your electricity meter and on
your electricity account

Preferred SMS times: the times during which SMS messages will
be sent to you
E-mail: the email address to which we will send messages
Password: must be at least six characters long and
contain at least one letter and one number

Power outages: we will send messages advising the status of
power outages affecting your property

Meter reading dates: we will send messages advising when
your next meter reading is scheduled

Future services: this will automatically subscribe you to any
additional message services we offer in the future

Terms and conditions: in order to subscribe to the services,
you must agree to the terms and conditions by selecting the
box
Verification: enter the words displayed in the box. This is
security for our system to prevent automated attacks on our
servers, this protects your details too
Register: click Register

When you have successfully registered, you will be logged into Power@MyPlace™ and you will see the screen below.
Click on any item in blue font to edit the details.
Click on the word to update your details. 1

To edit any of your contact details, click on the
information you would like to change

Once you have finished editing your details, press enter or click
out of the edit box and the changes will be saved automatically
Refer to last saved time to confirm change has been stored

Any updates to your mobile number or email address
will change your login details. This is your account ID

5.2 Change your password Top
To change your password, click here 1
Enter your new password, confirm it and click save
Your password must be at least 6 characters long
and contain both letters and numbers

5.3 Manage my property(s) Top
5.3.1 Adding a new property
Complete the following form to add a new property to your subscription:

Nickname: this is a name which will help you identify which
property our message refers to. For example: Shed, Mum’s
house, etc
Account holder surname or business name: this is the
surname or business name as it appears on your electricity
account

listed under Properties

Click on the address name to reveal more details 1
Click on the Remove link to remove the property 2
Select a reason from the drop down list and click
Remove

The property will be removed and we will not send any
further messages about that property to you or any
contacts you had registered

5.4 Managing contacts Top
Contacts are additional people you would like to receive information about your property. They can receive
messages via SMS or email.
You can add up to 5 contacts per property in addition to yourself. You should seek their permission before
registering them and we will send them a message advising you have subscribed them to our service.
5.4.1 Add a contact
Click on the property to add a new contact 1
Enter the name and contact details of the person to
receive messages. Enter their mobile number for SMS
notifications and/ or their email address

The details of each of your contacts are saved automatically in an ‘address book’

As you start typing the name, we will show a list of
any contacts who have been saved in your ‘address
book’. Click on their name and the email/mobile
contact details will automatically populate

Email messages will be sent 24 hours a day
Click on the times to set up a custom timeframe during which you will receive
messages.
