Kaizen The Japanese word kaizen simply means "change for better. given the common practice in Japan of labeling industrial or business improvement techniques with the word "kaizen", particularly the practices spearheaded by Toyota, the word "kaizen" in English is typically applied to measures for implementing continuous improvement, especially those with a "Japanese philosophy. Unlike Kaizen which is focused on incremental minor changes. Kaikaku means a radical change, during a limited time, of a production system. Kaikaku is most often initiated by management, since the change as such and the result will significantly impact business.
