The R series Worm Gearbox product range has been updated by adding three innovative principles: two technical and one commercial. All components in aluminium are die cast (from size 28 to size 70) to increase resistance to torsional and structural flexibility. ZI Gear tooth profiles (section and involute) have been adopted to increase efficiency and quiet operation.

Finally, a modular attachable output flange (FL) has been adopted to increase flexibility. First to patent (in 1987) a torque limiter built inside a standard gearbox.

The U series Cube shaped Worm Gearbox is suitable for a wide variety of fixing possibilities and allows a better modularity of the components in stock.

In fact, through an input coupling it is possible to connect all sizes of IEC and brushless electric motors (suitable to the series) and enable a wide range of possible gearbox configurations as well as improving the overall quality by eliminating the fretting and corrosion of the motor shaft to the gearbox.

The body has been designed in order to optimize the heat dissipation and to simplify the cleaning of it, even in the most difficult environmental conditions

By connecting two worm gearboxes together, we obtain this gearbox series achieving low ratios for slow speed applications: less efficiency but competitively priced and quiet operation.

All accessories of the series R and U are available, such as double extension input shaft, output taper bearings, internal torque limiter, output solid shaft (single or double sided) and torque arm bracket mount.

Mechanical Variators

The design of this range of gearbox is available in sizes 110 through to 250. This solution allows for efficient heat dissipation as well as a high housing rigidity and application simplicity.

Efficiency is positively improved but also longevity and the highest transmittable torque possible is achieved for each size. The compromise of cost/performance is particularly centred in the middle range of reduction ratios.

After 5 years from the first presentation of the U series gearbox, the new W series imported worm gearbox range is available as an economical alternative targeted at the OEM market.

With the introduction of new sizes (25, 30, 130 and 150) the performances and the dimensions are the same as the U series making them interchangeable but without input coupling feature. The W series in all sizes have a painted surface finish.

The Mechanical Variator allows for an approximate 5:1 speed variation via a simple adjustment handle.

The main construction and functional features of this product that increase its versatility are; the integral motor flange to the housing and the completely modular structure for the output flange and foot mounting.

These features allow for a reduction in the overall dimensions of the final drive.

The Quicklock Locking mounting solution allows for easy and versatile mounting of the gearbox on the drive shaft of the machine. Wide ranges of bushing bore sizes are available for each size of reducer increasing the gearbox versatility, easy dismounting is also achieved with this design.

The Quicklock Bevel Helical Gearbox has been designed to tackle the shortcomings of current designs in the market place such as; No shaft key, Parallel bores, Limited shaft options, No imperial shafts, Hard to service or no internal backstop just to mention a few.

All of these problems have been addressed with this new design. The new Quicklock Bevel Helical Gearbox is packed full of innovative features creating the “Ultimate Quarry Gearbox”.

The sturdy PT series is ideal for the material handling industry, especially for quarry and mining applications where absolute reliability and low maintenance are key factors. An exclusive innovation is the monolithic casing with inspection cover.

Available options include: a backstop device that prevents back driving in case of inclined conveyors, shrink disk mounting for rigidity and accurate mounting allowing for high start/stops per hour. Alternately a taper bushing mounting may be used for versatility with easy dismounting of the gearbox.

Compact, and yet extremely powerful, are the units of the EX series Planetary Gearbox. Their planetary drive train makes them the ideal choice for all the severe duty applications where shock loadings and impacts are more the rule than the exception.

The product configuration is highly versatile, due to several options as far as the mounting, the gear layout, the output shaft and the motor interface. Finding the perfect match to any drive problem whether it be electric of hydraulic input.

The A series Helical Inline Gearbox design is based on one body piece casting giving increased rigidity. This allows the application of high loads without the risks of deformation which may negatively affect technical performance.

The particular internal shape of the body directs the oil flow in a way to reach all moving parts while reducing noise levels and improving sealing integrity. Another new feature is the modular output flange that allows great versatility of application.

Thanks to the well-established experience in the field of in-line gearboxes in 2 and 3 stage versions the 1 stage has been developed for industrial applications which require a higher output speed.

Planetary Slewing drives are an essential component in keeping weight and size to a minimum on equipment such as tower cranes, Pitch and Yaw drives for wind energy, aerial platforms and mixers. Their planetary structure means that they can withstand very high torque values while maintaining reduced dimensions, weight and retaining high efficiency.

The wide range of ratios available enables the selection of a motor size and type which best suits each user’s requirements, hydraulic or electric. Bevel input and hydraulic brake are some of the options available for this series. Simple mounting, operating reliability and versatility make these units suitable for the most severe duties and environments.

The Parallel Helical series RXP 700 is a natural complementary range to the RXP 800 series covering the lower powers of products used in the market for more than 40 years.

With a sturdy monolithic housing, multiple fixing and connection positions, gears that are widely oversized and overrated as well as many accessories and options make it a strong and reliable product.

The Bevel Helical series RXO 700 is a natural complementary range to the RXO 800 series covering the lower powers of products used in the market for more than 40 years.

With a sturdy monolithic housing, multiple fixing and connection positions, gears that are widely oversized and overrated as well as many accessories and options make it a strong and reliable product.

This gearbox series for mixers and or aerators is especially intended to withstand high axial loads normally found in these types of machines.

Through the use of upsized taper roller bearings on an oversized support results in reducing the impact forces from the application.

The cylindrical output shaft is available in key shaft, flange connection and with shrink disk mounting. Another common option is the DRY-WELL device assisting to eliminate the possibility of oil leaks.

The new range of universal parallel shaft gearboxes sets a new standard in the market, having adequate sizing which ensures constant and optimum reliability in the toughest working conditions. This range is an effective response to the power transmission needs of medium-heavy and heavy industry. To complete the range, we also made the same gearboxes with long centre distances. The increased load capacity of cylindrical gears and bearings has reduced the size of gearboxes in the market, reducing the shaft centre distance between input and output. With this new line of drives you are free to apply the electric motor and your application from the same side, without sacrificing the strength that sets them apart forever.

The new range of bevel helical gearboxes sets a new standard in the market, having adequate sizing which ensures constant and optimum reliability in the toughest working conditions. This range is an effective response to the power transmission needs of medium-heavy and heavy industry. To complete the range, we also made the same gearboxes with very low ratios, leaving them free to be used in a wide range of applications.

The RXM series gearboxes has been specifically designed for conveyor drive applications where exceptional performance, improved bearing life and increased thermal capacity are primary objectives. The Z series Right Angle Gearboxes are designed for heavier duty applications. The one piece body is constructed in cast iron with all the external faces machined, the gears are Gleason design and the bearings are overrated as well. With the high strength of gear and case design they deliver a good relationship between power and overall dimension, also with the ability to operate at high speed.

The modular construction of the Z series right angle gearbox permits it to be configured with up to six input/output shaft variations (except ratio 1/1). These features stand this product range at the top of this sector.

The ZL series Right Angle Gearboxes are designed for light duty applications and are silent running. The one piece body is constructed in aluminium, the gears are Gleason design and the bearings are overrated as well. Backlash is 15’-30’ (minutes) and all gearboxes are supplied filled with lubricant for all mounting positions.

Three mounting flange types are available and depending on size 3 or 4 mounting through holes on the body. Shaft options are either 2 or 3 shaft design and with available ratios of 1, 2 or 3 to one for all sizes.

The RXO/TR Bevel Gearbox series are especially designed for cooling towers and/or pulp and paper mixer applications with a high emphasis on reliability.

This is made possible through a generous upsizing of gears, bearings as well as a balanced internal gear arrangement so to offer optimization of uniformity in balancing loads inside the gearbox.

With the half casing design the periodic inspection and maintenance procedures are facilitated, especially in installations that are not easy to access.

They provide a direction of rotation for the conveyor belt and can also be used as a tension device in some conveyor designs. Backstop

Impact Rollers and Frames are recommended for the use at the loading point of the belt conveyor or on the belt feeder to absorb the impact of the material as it comes into contact with the conveyor belt reducing damage to the conveyor belt surface.

The Impact Frame has additional bracing to handle the forces placed upon it whilst maintaining the same mounting points as the Trough frame. Speciality frames can be made to order.

The three roll Trough Roller and Frame is used to carry the load on the belt conveyor. They are available in a range of sizes to suit various belt widths as well as different angles for specific locations on the conveyor frame or applications. Available in 100% Australian made or Imported product. Speciality frames can be made to order.

Backstop Cam Clutches are the one-way clutch with the safest reverse rotation prevention qualities available, manufactured mainly for installations on the low speed shaft of an inclined conveyor or bucket elevator. With the ease of serviceability they offer an excellent alternative to a gearbox internal backstop or retro fit.

Side Guide Rollers

The Rubber Disc Return (RDR) Roller is ideal for use on short installations in wet, sticky or abrasive conditions to help avoid unwanted build-up on the conveyor return roller, or carry back on the conveyor belt itself. Identical in mounting dimensions to the standard return roller make it an easy retro fit if a problem is identified.

Flat Return Rollers are used on the underside of a conveyor to support the returning conveyor belt. They can also be used as carry idlers to support the conveyor belt and load in a flat belt situation. There are two styles of bracket available – the carry bracket for flat belt conveyors or the combination bracket that can be used in either application.

Side Guide Rollers assist with the tracking of the conveyor belt as it moves along the conveyor. Conveyor belt tracking issues can come about for several reasons including frame flexing especially on radial stackers.

They can be located on the conveying side and on the return side of the conveyor belt. Two different bracket designs are available to cater for either application.

The unique design of the STMA conveying side bracket allows fitment without the need for welding whilst maintaining conveyor roller serviceability. Its carefully designed angle places the face of the guide roller at right angles to the conveyor belt edge preventing “ride up” of the conveyor belt and effective tracking.

The X Series Stainless Steel Screw Jack is quite similar to full metal screw jacks (TP) but ideally suited for applications where a permanent resistance to oxidising is necessary, it is possible to supply the accessory components in stainless steel also.

These units are ideally suited in wash-down areas or corrosive applications such as sea side equipment. These units can be operated by the same means as the TP series.

Ease of use, high dependability, and low maintenance all make worm gear Screw Jacks ideal for a wide variety of uses. They can be used to lift, pull, move, or align any load, even if highly unbalanced, with perfect synchronization offered by no other movement method. Perfectly suited to positioning applications where accuracy can be guaranteed due to the mechanical nature of the screw jack system.

Commonly used in areas where the possible leakage of hydraulic fluid could prove to be dangerous. They can be operated by Hand, Electric motor, Hydraulic motor, Air motor or Servo motor making them an extremely versatile unit.

This techno-polymer Screw Jack has a structure quite similar to full metal screw jacks (TP), what makes it different is the particular moulding system of the gears and the peculiarity of the polyacrylamide material employed this technology will even allow it to operate without lubrication.

The non-corrosive housing and the ability to use stainless steel accessories make it ideal for the food industry. These units can be operated by the same means as the TP series.

The Classic or Conventional V Belt was originally developed in the 1930’s and has been used widely throughout industry ever since. An improved version known as the Wedge Belt with a deeper cross section provides more power transmission. Other types of drive belt are also available such as Cogged and Timing Belts.

Sprockets are used for power transmission from one shaft to another via a chain where slippage is not permissible, available in a range of different forms and sizes to suit the specific application and power transmission requirements. Sprockets are used throughout industry and machinery in areas such as manufacturing, mining, marine, agriculture.

The Cone Ring Couplings unique flexible element comprises tapered rubber rings mounted on steel pins. The rubber rings absorb commonly encountered misalignment, shock and vibration. They offer easy disconnection of the drive and driven unit.

Additional Couplings: There are many other designs of coupling including but not limited to Gear, Grid, Curved Jaw and Fluid all have different applications to which they are best suited.

The HRC is a general purpose Flexible coupling available in eight sizes in taper bush style or pilot bore. They are commonly used in many industrial application and are suitable for speeds of 1500 rpm.

Chain is a highly efficient method of power transmission where direct coupling is not employed. It comes in many forms and sizes ASA, BS, Agricultural & Conveyor chain to name a few. Speciality chains are also available in stainless steel, self-lubricating, Aqua proof and many more variations.

Pulleys are an effective means of power transmission via a V belt and can be supplied in either single groove or multi groove arrangements in a variety sections including but not limited to SPZ, SPA, SPB & SPC. The material used in the construction of industrial pulleys is GG-25 Cast Iron. Each pulley undergoes stringent balancing tests to ensure each pulley functions efficiently. The pulleys are finished in a black coating this acts as a primer to help protect the pulleys from environmental factors. Circumferential speeds of up to 40 m/sec are permissible.
