Galileo didn’t believe that God answers prayeruntil he tried praying one day.

“Oh, God, I beg you. Enlighten my mind sothat I may invent something great to further humanknowledge,” he said.

Shortly, God answered him by leading him tothe invention of the telescope!

With God, you can do the impossible. He saidin the Holy Bible, Jeremiah 32:27:

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh:Is there anything too hard for Me?”

“All things are possible with God.” (Mark10:27)

Jesus revealed the secret of answered prayerwhen He said:

"Therefore I tell you,whatever you ask for in prayer,believe that you have received it,and it will be yours."(Mark 11:24)

This is the key to answered prayer.

When you pray, believe that you have receivedthem – and you shall have them! It doesn’t say believeyou SHALL receive them, but believe you HAVERECEIVED them.

It is believing you already have the answer evenbefore you physically receive it. It is believing youhave it in your hand even before you can touch it. It

is seeing your mind’s eye even before you can see itwith your eyes.

It is a reality when you can believe it – even ifyou can’t physically see it or touch it. Your belief isthe spiritual seed.

In fact, everything you see – the buildings, thebridges, the skyscrapers, the airplanes - began onlyas such, a spiritual seed. Somebody had to plant thatbelief, that spiritual seed. And soon enough – itbecame a reality.

But take note: That reality has its beginningfrom that seed of belief. And that seed is as much apart of what you actually see in physical reality. It iswhat Paul meant when he described faith as the“evidence of things not seen, the substance of thingshoped for.”

If you haven’t received answers to your prayer,it could be because you haven’t believed enough thatyou have received it.

It is touching it and seeing it in your mind evenbefore you can actually feel it or see it. It is feelingthe joy of owning it or living it even before its physicalreality.

It is thanking God in advance even before it

manifests physically. To be able to thank God inadvance is a sign or expression of true faith.

That’s first-class faith.

Thanking God in advance is an expression of yourbelief that you have indeed received the answer toyour prayer.

Once you really believe you already have it, you onlyhave to wait for its physical manifestation. It’s just amatter of time. If you can believe it, you can have it.

So, to get answers to your prayers, believe that youhave received and thank God in advance for them.

One woman had been trying to sell her house for ayear because she wanted to move to another place.

Many came. They looked at the house. But they neverreturned.

She felt more and more desperate as days passed by.

Finally, she turned her problem over to God in prayer.And she thanked God in advance for answering herprayer.

For three days, she would imagine seeing herselfreceiving the payment for the house and depositingthe money in her bank.

Had her closest friends known what she had beendoing, they might have laughed at her, saying, “Areyou losing your mind?”

But on the fourth day, a buyer came and handed herthe money, the full payment for the house.

She got the answer to her prayer when she believedshe had received the payment for her house – byseeing it in her mind as a reality and thanking Godin advance for it.

If you can believe it, you can have it.

A young lady learned this secret. She was convincedthat she can get anything she desired if she couldonly believe it.

So she wrote down her four desires:

1. Wealth2. A trip around the world3. A wonderful husband4. A beautiful home

Every morning, at noon, and again at night, she wouldrelax her physical body and her mind, bring out herlist, read the items one by one, and thank God inadvance for the fulfillment of her desires.

She would see herself in her imagination, enjoyingthe realization of her desires.

The result? In a month’s time, her grandmother gaveher a car and a large sum of money.

She also received an invitation from her parents inCanada, asking her to join them for a trip around theworld.

During their trip, she met a man. It was love at firstsight. Not long afterwards, they got married.

And they both lived in her husband’s beautiful home.

And so her four desires were fulfilled!

Yes, when you pray for something, believe that youhave received them and thank God for them. In God’stime and wonderful way, you will receive them.

Here’s how you believe andreceive answers to your prayers:

1. Be sure that what you are askingGod for is attainable and good – in

harmony or not against His will.

2. Tell God what you need and thankGod in advance for answering your

prayer.

Affirm this thanksgiving prayer when you wakeup in the morning and just before you sleep at night.

“Thank you, Father, for the immediatefulfillment of my desires because of your divine love.I receive them in Jesus Christ’s name.”

3. See yourself in your imaginationenjoying the reality of your desires.

Feel it. Believe it.

Once you believe it, you can receive it.

What is faith?

Faith as applied to everyday living is the op-posite of fear.

Fear is thinking and believing of somethingbad or negative happening in your life.

Faith is thinking and believing of somethinggood or positive happening in your life.

Because of our negative mental conditioningfrom childhood, which we got from what we heard,read or saw, we have become experts in living byfear.

So we always think of problems, not solutions.We often think of what we don’t want, instead ofwhat we want to happen in our lives.

The result? We get more problems. We sufferlack. Bad things keep happening in our lives.

And yet, we keep on living by fear. Why?

I believe that one of the reasons, if not the rea-son, is that - we have not been educated about it. Ithas not been explained to us.

Yet it should have been taught in school, in-stead of many irrelevant academic subjects.

The purpose of this book is to EXPLAIN whyyou should not live by fear. More importantly, I’llshow you why you should live by faith and how touse the power of faith for more joyful and more abun-dant living.

Now, let me explain:

Experiments conducted by scientists, psy-chologists, and mind experts show and prove thisstartling and almost unbelievable fact — one of theworld’s most significant discoveries in centuries.

When I first made this statement, some thoughtI was kidding. An uncle of mine laughed at me; hesaid I was only dreaming. Perhaps others thought Iwas losing my right senses. They just could not be-lieve it.

But, a few weeks later many wrote back con-firming my statement with their experiences.

The first encouragement came from a real es-tate agent. Frank was an old man, with some greyhairs, and over 50 years old.

“Your lessons are true. They work. I’ve justgotten the car I have dreamt of,” he announced withexcitement when he dropped in one day.

To prove his statement, he brought the car withhim, and invited me to visit his family. It was a redstation wagon.

Another wrote back, saying, “Thank you…Ihave increased my earnings. Now, I can afford yourother course. Please send it to me.”

Recently I met a young man who came acrosssome of the lessons in my book, “4 Amazing Steps.”

With nothing but the secrets he discovered andlearned from my book, he claimed that he started hisbusiness from scratch; and now, he is making realmoney.

Another man in his thirties and who startedworking as a janitor, multiplied his income five timesin two years.

Using the same secrets, a woman whose hus-band was having an affair with another woman, gother husband to mend his ways and be faithful toher...without her talking to him face to face.

These are just a few of the experiences of oth-ers who have learned to unlock and harness the hid-den and magnetic powers of their faith.

Yes, locked up inside you is a power that canattract and bring to yourself the good things you wantfrom life...even more powerful than the mythicalAladdin’s lamp.

Even famous and reputable men of the agesbelieve in the great and mysterious powers of thehuman mind. They include psychologists, like Wil-liam James of Harvard University; scientists as Tho-mas Alva Edison, Luther Burbank, and Dr. JosephB. Rhine of Duke University; philosophers likeGoethe, Immanuel Kant; men of letters as RobertLouis Stevenson, Mark Twain, Pearl S. Buck; andstatesmen like Abraham Lincoln and others.

Before we go on, I would like you to try thissimple experiment:

Look at the air around you. What do you see?

Nothing. Tune in your radio. Now, what do youhear? Words, music. So, they must have been aroundyou all the time.

Now, lock your door, seal all your windows,patch up every small hole. Do you still hear the wordsor music from your radio? Yes! They must havepierced through your walls and window panes.

And did you ever stop to think that they werebroadcast from hundreds of miles away? Andhere…they reached you in a matter not of minutes,but of split seconds!

But, more marvelous is your television set.You not only hear music. You also see the personsinging. You see the person talking. Like your radiothey might have been telecast miles away, goingthrough walls of bricks, steel, or wood. And theyreached you in split seconds, too. Though you didn’tsee the radio waves, they were there all the time.

Just think of the telecasting of man’s moonlanding by the Apollo astronauts…from the moon tothe earth!

Wonderful, isn’t it? Just marvelous!

Like these, your mind can broadcast yourthoughts far and wide. Your thoughts exist. They’rereal, although you don’t see them. And they, too,can pierce through walls of steel, brick, or wood.

And they can travel fast — in split seconds!

The amazing case of Ted Serios, the cabdriverwhose thoughts could be photographed, proved this.

This man created a stir when his story wasfirst published in the reputable “Life Magazine,”which devoted two pages on it. The Women’s Maga-zine also gave three full pages to his story.

Experiments conducted proved that Ted Serioscould project his thoughts while in front of a camera— and photos of his thoughts were taken.

In the past 15 years, photos were taken fromthe projected thoughts of Serios, like the Taj Mahal,John Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, the White House,and some faraway buildings.

New cameras and new rolls of films were used.One time, he was even stripped of his clothes. Inanother experiment, he was even blindfold. He waseven asked to sit in a Faraday cage designed to keepoff all radio waves and electromagnetic projections.But still, pictures of his thoughts were taken.

One time, it was reported that he projected histhoughts on a wall of a room and for a few secondssome witnesses saw it.

The Ted-Serious experiments were conductedin the presence of reputable men of science, expertsin their own respective fields and whose words were

Among them were: Charles JD. Hlad Jr., physi-cist and of the research laboratory of the U.S. Veter-ans Administration Hospital in Denver; Dr.J.AllenHynek, professor and chairman department of As-tronomy, Northwestern University, Evanston Illinois;Ray W. Wainwrigth professor of electrical engineer-ing in Colorado State University, Fort Collins; anassociate clinical professor of medicine, and manyothers.

Indeed, thoughts are things! But, this is justone aspect of the startling discovery. For example—

Further experiments on the mind conductedby other scientists and experts also prove thatthoughts are energy, and they can control or influ-ence material objects The experiments of Dr. JosephB. Rhine of Duke University prove this.

In these experiments, Dr. Rhine and his asso-ciates proved again and again that THOUGHTSCOULD INFLUENCE MATERIAL OBJECTS. Asa simple proof, they showed that they could controlthe turn of the dice.

A mechanical device was used to throw thedice to exclude the possibility of human influence.Dr. Rhine and associates stayed at a near distanceand concentrated on the number they wanted the diceto come up with.

And the dice seemed to obey their thoughts. Itturned up with the number they had their thoughtson.

Again and again and again, they demonstratedthis simple but convincing experiments anddemonstrations…with the same almost unbelievableresults.

A sound proof that MIND CAN CONTROLOR INFLUENCE MATTER!

Recently, I also read the case of a man in LasVegas who ruled the dice 50 times without miss, andleft with $50,000.

This won’t look impossible when we considerthe fact that we could accurately control and sendguided missiles to any target, send heavy, unmannedspacecraft to orbit the earth and bring it back— with-out wires, without strings or material connections.

Scientists also now agree that our thoughts areelectromagnetic. They say that our brain is composedof 40 to 50 billion cells. And these brain cells, aswell as the other cells of our body, are being keptalive by magnetism and electricity.

But, more important is this: Our brain is likea TV or radio broadcasting station. It can send andreceive thought-messages.

Yes, man’s God-given mind possesses myste-

rious powers which are yet to be fully discoveredand developed. We have successfully explored themoon and other planets, but we have failed to makea thorough exploration of our mind…the result andsuccess of which can solve many of the miseries inthis world.

We look outside ourselves, even outside ourplanet Earth to find solutions to our problems whenthe Key is right in our own God-given mind!

We’ve missed a great deal in life simply be-cause we failed to realize this age-old secret of theages:

“Our God-given mind is like a powerful mag-net, able to attract to us any good thing we desire.”

Now that we have discovered how our mindworks, we’ll now know and appreciate why it is ofutmost importance for us to live by faith.

As I’ve said at the start, faith, as applied topractical daily living, is thinking and believing ofgood things happening in your life.

The FIRST AMAZING STEP to make anygood dream come true is to – MAKE A CLEARMENTAL PICTURE OF YOUR DESIRE.

Remember this every second of your life –What you constantly think of, desire, or fear is likelyto materialize in your life.

If you always think of poverty you will soonbecome poor.

If you always think of riches you will soonattract conditions of circumstances that will causeriches to flow into your life. So –

Think of the things you want – not the thingsyou do not want.

As David Bush aptly said:

“Thoughts are things; thoughts are energy;thoughts are magnets which attract to us the very

things which we think.

“I say, if you concentrate on debts, debt is whatyou will have; if you think about poverty, poverty iswhat you will receive.”

Wallace D. Wattles, in his “Science of Get-ting Rich” also said:

“Man can form things in his thought, and, byimpressing his thought upon formless substance, cancause the thing he thinks about to be created.”

There was a businessman who had nothing buta small store.

For about 10 to 15 minutes, three times a day,he made a mental picture of himself managing a gi-ant corporation. He clearly imagined the buildings,the stores and employees working. And he saw him-self as the head of the business. After doing this forsome time, his business began to grow faster. Heattracted more capital, more customers, needed per-sonnel, profitable ideas – and gradually expandedhis business. Today, he is rich, the head of the giantcorporation he dreamed of. His mental picture cametrue!

Dr. Albert Wiggam considered this businessof mental picturing as “the strongest force withinyou.”

Your mental pictures – your thoughts – can

make things happen.

Because – THINKING OF A THING IS THEFIRST STEP OF CREATION!

Every time you constantly think of a thing orcondition, you are taking the first step of creating it,of making it happen.

If you think of poverty or failure, you are start-ing to create it, whether you know it or not. And youwill soon have it – unless you stop, neutralize, orchange your thought!

Yes, you can “think” things to physical real-ity. You can CAUSE things to happen!

Could this be because it is said in the HolyBible:

"I said, `You are "gods";you are all sons of the Most High.'”(Psalm 82:6)

If you want something – riches, health, suc-cess – you can start creating or making it happen justby constantly thinking of it.

For thoughts are really things, energy, mag-nets that can attract to us the realization of our dreams.

“Ten years ago, I was receiving only a smallsalary a month as a janitor,” with those words mygood friend Felix Ibay, Jr., began his story as we dined

in a restaurant one Friday.

“I had to walk to and from my job. And eachtime I passed by a university, my tears would beginto swell in my eyes as I drove this wish into my heart,‘I wish I will someday study in this University.’

“And how I sighed when I came home at night.All around me were my boardmates, studying.

“Without passing glances, I would headstraight to my bed and – dream.

“A few months later, I became a messengerand got a raise in salary. I was given double mymonthly pay.

“I was excited! The first thing I did was toenroll at a university! At last!”

He took up an evening course in business,majoring in accounting. With perseverance, he fin-ished his course.

Gradually, he held higher positions and got araise in salary.

At 31, he was receiving more than 11 timeshis previous salary a month!

I learned he left for Canada and I heard thathe is making five times his previous salary.

Thoughts can really cause things to happen.

I was talking one night with Delia, a 21-year-old young lady. And she said to me:

“My mother used to laugh at my poor fatherwhenever he said, ‘I wish I’ll have a jeep!’ But myfather got his jeep!”

“Then, one day, my father again said, “I wishI had a truck.’ And my mother again laughed at him.But my father got his truck!”

“At another time, my father said, ‘I wish wecould build a bigger house.’ And my mother com-mented, ‘He’s dreaming too much.’ But, my fatherbuilt the house!”

The things we see externally first started assomebody’s thoughts, mental pictures. It has beensaid that our physical world is the mirror of our mind,our thoughts. The things that we see existing nowfirst were mere thoughts or mental pictures in some-one else’s mind.

To make things happen, one must take the firststep of creation: “MAKE A MENTAL PICTURE OFWHAT YOU WANT.”

In the creation of the world, even God, firstmight have a mental picture or model of what Hewanted.

When He said, “Let there be light.” He surelyknew what light would be like.

The same is true when He created man “inHis image.”

So, before you can make your dreams cometrue and get what you want, MAKE A MENTALPICTURE.

Then, project your mental picture on the screenof your mind at least three times a day. Think of it.See it as clearly and definitely as you would have it.

Frequent and constant visualization of yourmental picture will reinforce its power, just as re-peated hammering of a nail makes the nail sinkdeeper.

Live with it. Think of it when you are aboutto sleep, when you wake up in the morning, whenyou relax during the day and whenever you can.

Relax and free yourself from any negativeemotion and activity, then, with great joy, project yourmental picture into the screen of your mind or imagi-nation.

Here are some devices that will help you visu-alize your mental picture clearly:

1) Make a scrapbook of your dreamor goal.

Cut photographs of the things you want, then

paste them in your scrapbook.

If you want a car, put a picture of the car youwant, in its exact color, model, etc.

If you want a certain job, cut a photograph ofa person occupying such a position, but paste a photoof your face on his or hers.

If you want a house, cut a picture of that house. Thenon succeeding pages, also paste pictures of the roomsand furnishings you want.

Then go over your scrapbook now and then,and make them come to life in your imagination.

For example –

A 15-year-old boy wanted to develop a mus-cular body. So, he cut photos of muscular men, likeSteve Reeves. He placed them constantly before hiseyes and minds.

Everyday he imagined himself developing andhaving such a built.

And he got what he wanted!

This also reminds me of a story.

One day, a Prince called his sculptor and askedhim to make a statue of a handsome man.

When the statue was finished, the sculptor

presented it to the Prince, and asked,, “Shall we putit at the gate, my Prince?”

“No, old man, place it in my room,” said thePrince.

From that day on, the Prince looked at thestatue and imagined himself looking like the statue.

After several days, people began noticing agradual change in the Prince’s appearance.

The Prince kept on having a mental pictureuntil he looked exactly like it.

2) Write a statement of your dreamor goal on cards, then place them

where you can often see them.Place one card in your wallet, another in one

of the corners of your mirror, one on your desk, andon places where you can often see them.

Antonio R. Mirabueno, Sr. is a father of sixtalented boys, all gold and silver medalists.

Realizing the importance of setting concretegoals and keeping them in sight, he made a bulletinboard at home.

On this bulletin board, he wrote the names ofhis boys. Besides the names he hanged their respec-

tive medals to remind them of their goals and chal-lenged them to do better.

One afternoon, however, his youngest son,Arnold, who was a little more than five years oldthen, told him, “Father, I want a bulletin board formyself alone. Make me one and I’ll fill it with med-als!”

Recently, Arnold finished kindergarten. Andhe has already one medal – a silver medal.

I believe that this young boy will get thosemedals to fill up the spaces of his bulletin board!

What he thinks and mentally pictures always,he will get.

His father knew this. “When I have a goal Imyself even make pictures and graphs of it.”

Starting from his third year in high school, theolder Mirabueno was a self-supporting student. Inspite of financial difficulties, he dreamed and sawhimself graduating from college.

Working as a houseboy, janitor, messenger, andclerk, he finished college – with three degrees: aBachelor of Science in Commerce, a Bachelor of Artsand a Bachelor of Laws.

What he dreamed of and mentally pictured,he got!

So, make a mental picture of your goal andwrite it down on a card or cut a picture of it, andplace it where you can often see it.

As Johnson O’Conner said, “Write down whatyou want to achieve. Then frame the paper on whichyou wrote it and hang it on the wall.”

3) Use the “mirror technique”Stand before a mirror, look at yourself in the

eyes, and affirm your dream. For example, if youwant to become a sales manager, say, “You are ap-pointed sales manager. Congratulations!”

An average salesman became a $150,000-a-year man with the help of this mirror technique.

4) Try prayer-power.If you often pray, you may find it more effec-

tive to visualize and add power to your mental pic-ture by praying.

Tell God what you want and how much youwant it.

Do this twice or thrice daily for 10 to 15 min-utes. And you will be amazed at the result.

I suggest that you read the 23rd Psalm twice or

Use these four devices to help you visualizeyour mental picture more clearly.

In September, 1972, the offices of the news-paper where I was working were closed. And I foundmyself with a wife and a one-month-old son to sup-port. Funds ran low so fast! I had to do somethingbefore things worsened.

I took the first step, that of creating a mentalpicture of money. I cut a photograph of money froma magazine’s front cover, then looked at it severaltimes a day to help me visualize money.

I did not know how to get it, but I just BE-LIEVED that somehow I would receive the money.

Meanwhile, of course, I was doing everythingI could to solve my financial problem. Then inter-esting things began to happen.

Things – surprising things – began to happenuntil I finally met and overcame the financial crisis.

The things you want to happen can come true.

Make a clear mental picture of it. Visualize it.

Hold on to it. Run the picture in your mind. Make itas colorful as you can.

The events of today were your thoughts of yes-terday. Your thoughts or mental pictures today willbe the events of tomorrow.

If you do not like many of the things happen-ing in your life now, start changing them now – bymaking mental pictures of the things you want.

“The greatest discovery of my generation,” saidnoted psychologist William James, “is that humanbeings can alter their lives by altering their attitudesof mind.”

Your success or failure depends on yourthoughts.

Change your thoughts, and you change yourlife!

You can control your success or failure becauseyou can control or choose your thoughts.

If you want a life of riches, you have to thinkof and desire riches to attract them.

If you want poverty, you need only to be pov-erty-conscious every walking moment of your life.

“The man who acquires the ability to take fullpossession of his mind may take possession of any-thing else to which he is justly entitled,” said An-

Control your thoughts and you control yourlife.

Do not be like others who always blame Godwhen misfortune befalls them. They blame God fortheir poverty, their sickness, their unhappiness, andall bad luck that comes to them. “It’s God’s will,”they say. They are weaklings!

The truth is, it’s not God who gives it to them.It is they themselves – their own thoughts – they maketheir misfortune happen. But they don’t know it.

God is Love, He does not wish any evil forany man. It is man who brings evil and punishmentupon himself – by his wrong and evil thoughts anddeeds.

If God, by His permissive will, allows badthings to happen to some, it’s just a consequence oftheir bad thought, choice, or deed.

It is ridiculous to think of a rich, powerful,and merciful God who wants to see His people hun-gry, ragged, suffering, unhappy, and sick, isn’t it?

When Jesus Christ, our Lord, came to earthabout 2,000 years ago, He did not come to make uspoor and starving. He said:

“I have come that they may have life, and that

they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

He came to give man prosperity, the law ofprosperous living. He said:

“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy maybe full.” (John 16:24)

He did not come to bring sickness. He wentabout healing the sick, cleansing the leper, makingthe blind see, making the deaf hear, making the lamewalk, even raising the dead.

He did not come to preach unhappiness or in-security. He went saying:

“In the world you will have tribulation; but beof good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John16:33)

He like to see us safe and happy!

He came to save man from damnation – pov-erty, troubles, sufferings, miseries, frustrations, sick-ness, and problems.

So, STOP blaming God for your bad luck,poverty, sickness, or misfortune. God wills only whatis good.

And you are here to reflect or manifest Hisriches, glory, and power. You are here to preach byyour life the expression of His Divine love.

He wants you to be happy. How can you sayyou trust and love Him, if you are unhappy?

Hold this thought in mind: Your life is theresult of your own thoughts. Your poverty, your sick-ness, your unhappiness are caused by your ownthoughts. So you can get rid of them because, as youalready know, they are not God’s will. They are yourown choices or decisions. CHANGE YOURTHOUGHTS, AND YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

So, when things go wrong, don’t look for out-side causes. Look within. Set your thoughts right,and you will set your outside world right too.

All creation starts from within, in the mind,whether it be great achievement or failure.

Think positive thoughts and you will magne-tize and draw positive or good things to yourself.

Faith is believing in good things happeningin your life. It’s positive mental picturing.

Fear is believing in bad things you don’t wantto happen in your life. It’s negative mental pictur-ing.

Have faith, not fear.

Change your thoughts, and you change yourlife?

“Dumb” students turned heads by a merechange in their mental attitude.

The great difference between GREAT SUC-CESS and failure, the star salesman and the flop …the big business builder and the tramp… the healthyand the sickly … the jolly and the sad … is almostalways a matter of mental attitude.

By changing his thoughts about himself, anordinary cabin carpenter expanded his business, builtskyscrapers and made his million!

By changing the thought of his organization,one man saved his firm from financial disaster.

Napoleon Bonaparte was born to a poor fam-ily. At the Military Academy, he was only 46th in hisclass list. He was average, just another guy, until hechanged his thoughts about himself. And he becamean emperor and conquered almost all of Europe. Aslong as his thoughts were positive, he was uncon-querable! When he began to doubt and waver, hisempire started to crumble.

In 1907, George Westinghouse’s company wasin danger of closing out, since business was very poor.

But, he pulled his company out of financialpanic – simply by changing the thinking of his orga-nization.

They thought of prosperity, more business,success, and they made them happen!

If you want something, concentrate yourthoughts on it wholly. You cannot gain riches if youkeep thinking poor. You cannot gain health if youthink of sickness most of the time. You cannot suc-ceed if you think and worry of failure most of thetime.

“No matter how hard you may work for suc-cess, if your thought is saturated with the fear of fail-ure it will kill your efforts, neutralize your endeavorand make success impossible,” said Orison SweetMarden.

When undesirable conditions make you un-happy, cursing will only make things darker or worse.

Bless and praise everything. Say, “I bless thisthing; it will soon pass away. Everything works formy good.” And then create positive mental picturesof the things you want. That will start the flow ofpositive thoughts which will help create positive con-ditions.

But the more you think about it with negativefeelings, the more you’ll attract other such negativeexperiences.

The same is true when somebody does youwrong. Your natural tendency is to be angry with theperson who did you wrong.

The more you hate him, get mad at him, andtry to get even with him, the more you’ll attract per-sons like him and other negative experiences.

It is very difficult not to entertain your nega-tive emotions of grief, disappointment and hate.

But you must neutralize these negative emo-tions or you’ll be reaping more negative conse-quences.

This is why those who suffer what they call“bad luck” and accidents keeping on experiencing astring of such negative experiences.

They don’t know that by thinking and feelingnegatively about their bad experience or situation,they are attracting more negative events, experiences,situations, and persons.

You can stop attracting or triggering morenegative things from happening by using the law ofblessing.

Here’s how:

When something bad happens, instead of re-acting negatively, say:

“I bless this experience or situation. Only goodwill come out of it.”

If a person has done you wrong which ordi-narily would make you mad as hell, say instead:

“I bless you and bless the goodness of God inyou. I now surrender you to God, and God now takescare of you. Only good will come out this experience.”

Notice what you did. First, when you blessedthe situation or person, you neutralized or took theemotional sting of the negative experience. Thus, youwon’t be attracting more negative situations.

Next, by saying, “Only good will come out ofit,” you focused your mind on a positive expectancyof something better.

By doing so, you have triggered or set in mo-tion the happening of a something good or positive.

You can also bless your customers and manywill come to you.

You can bless your products to attract thepeople who’ll benefit from them and who’ll buy them.

Say, “I bless you with immediate sellingpower.”

You can bless your money to attract moremoney.

Take whatever amount you have and bless itand your purse, bag or wallet.

Say, “I bless this money. God multiplies itabundantly. “

Bless every person you meet or deal with, say-ing, “I bless you and the goodness of God in you.”

Yes, this is one of the laws you’ll be using

If you are basing your salvation on your goodworks or obedience, you certainly would not know,because by your works or obedience, it’s clear anddefinite that you will not spend eternity with God.

And what is the penalty of sin? The Bible is veryclear and definite about it.

“For the wages of sin is death...” (Romans 6:23)

Not just physical death but also spiritual death.

Let’s face it, no matter what you do, you keepfalling into sin and you will continue to fall into sinas long as you are in your carnal body.

There is nothing you have done, is doing, or willdo for you to merit or deserve eternal life with God inheaven.

Isaiah says, your righteousness are like filthy rags.They don’t meet God’s standard. And they will neverpass God’s standard.

“All of us have become like one who is unclean,and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.” (Isaiah64:6)

Why? To pass God’s standard, your obediencemust be perfect. You must obey ALL Hiscommandments.



“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yetstumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)

You disobey one, you disobey all. You’re introuble. I’m in trouble. All are in trouble. That’s thebad news. God saw that no one will be saved by hisobedience, for no one is perfect. None does good,no, not one.

So He made a way where there is no way for thesalvation of man. By His grace, He sent Jesus Christto die in our place, and shed His pure blood for theforgiveness of our sins, because without the sheddingof blood we cannot be forgiven.

“In fact, the law requires that nearly everythingbe cleansed with blood, and without the shedding ofblood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

Jesus Christ having shed His blood opened theway of salvation for man. Man can now be justifiedor made righteous before God by faith - by believingin Jesus Christ and accepting what He has done.

That’s called salvation or justification by faith. Itis believing in Jesus Christ and accepting Him as yourSavior, and trusting completely that His blood hasPAID IN FULL the penalty of all your sins.

It is basing your salvation only on WHAT HE HASDONE that you were saved, are saved, and will besaved, and not because of any merit on your part,because YOU HAVE ALREADY MISERABLY



FAILED!

Although salvation or justification by faith is nowavailable to man, how could man be convinced - proudas he is - to seek to be justified or be made righteousby his faith alone?

That’s precisely the reason why the TenCommandments were given - to shut our boastfulmouths and make us acknowledge our guilt beforeGod.

“Now we know that whatever the law says, it saysto those who are under the law, that every mouth maybe stopped, and all the world may become guiltybefore God.” (Romans 3:19)

Why? For what purpose?

Like a criminal, caught red-handed andoverpowered, the best action for us to take in such asituation is to surrender.

It’s only when we realize our hopelessness fullyadmit our guilt that we would accept or look for asavior. Unless we realize we are sick, we won’t needa doctor. Unless we see we are helpless, we won’tcry out for help.

“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us toChrist, that we might be justified by faith.” (Galatians3:24)

Realizing we cannot obey all the commandments,



we’d seek a savior and come to Christ.

And so I did.

But there are still many who don’t put their wholetrust in the finished work of Jesus Christ because oftheir pride. They feel, what Jesus Christ has done isnot enough and so they have to add their own goodworks or obedience to make what Jesus Christ hasdone to be valid or effective.

The Holy Bible is very clear about this - that weare saved only through our faith in Christ, total faithin Christ, not by any good works or righteous deedswe have done.

“He saved us, not because of righteous things wehad done, but because of his mercy.” (Titus 3:4-5)

We are saved by His grace. If by grace, then it isnot because of our works. If because of any work, itcannot be grace, because grace is unearned, unworkedfor, unmerited, undeserved favor. If favor, somebodydid it or gave it for us.

Paul again explained it this way:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, throughfaith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift ofGod - not by works, so that no one can boast.”(Ephesians 2:8-9)

Our salvation is a gift. To us, it’s free, becauseJesus Christ has already paid for it. Oh, and at what a



price! What is needed for us to do is to receive it.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Godis eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans6:23)

Would you like to receive God’s gift of eternallife in heaven with Him? You only have to sincerelyaccept it once and you are sealed for eternity inheaven.

The best thing to do when you fall into sin is toflee from it and confess immediately to God who isalways there to accept and forgive you.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just andwill forgive us our sins and purify us from allunrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9-10)

“See?” I said and explained, “It’s not money itself but the love of money that causes a lot of evil.”

But, for the rich man who considers money everything, forgetting that God is the Source of every good thing in the world, it is really easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, as Jesus Christ said, than for him to enter the kingdom of God.



LACK OF MONEY CAUSES EVIL IN THIS WORLD

On the other hand, the lack of money causes a lot of miseries and suffering. For lack of money, children drop out of school. For lack of money, the medicine a loved one badly needs could not be bought. For lack of money, some girls could become prostitutes.

For lack of money, some steal, rob, or kill. For lack of money one’s children become undernourished. For lack of money one’s life is full of worries and miseries. For lack of money, many lose faith in the goodness or existence of God.

Poverty causes crimes. It fills prison cells. It even leads to self-destruction or suicide.

ONE CAN BE RICH AND STILL BE A CHILD OF GOD

One can be rich, however, and still be a child of God. Many of God’s children were rich. God made many of His chosen people rich. The Bible proves it.
