LV FULLY – INSULATED EARTHING & SHORT CIRCUIT DEVICES.It has always been a requirement for temporary earthing and short-circuiting when working on high voltage networks, but that has not been the case on low voltage networks.

The ever increasing installation of embedded generation (emergency generators, solar etc.) presents uncontrolled external power supply into existing systems. This also represents potential increased risk for people working on low voltage networks.

In the EU this has resulted in regulation under EN50110 which requires earthing and short -circuiting on low voltage networks.

For high voltage conventional earthing and short-circuiting devices are applied to the voltage side of the transformer to mitigate risk due to faulty operations and the resulting short- circuit currents.

On the low voltage side earthing and short - circuiting devices are generally considered working earths and are used to manage uncontrolled external power supplies from private power generators.

ARCUS earthing and short-circuiting devices for low voltage in fully-insulated construction are a sophisticated kit system consisting of separate components which can be customised to individual customer requirements.

The primary element of our earthing and short-circuiting kit is a 3-polar device made of highly-flexible PVC insulated copper lead with patented, fully-insulated connection couplings.

Armorcast Structural Material is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline and high temperatures. Sheath Repairs Armorcast Structural Material is an ideal solution for sheath repairs as well as repairs to lead auxiliaries since it creates an air-tight, permanent bond when combined with Scotch® cable jacket repair Tape. The tacky fiberglass reinforced material adheres both to itself and to polyethylene or lead. Since Armorcast Structural Material does not require a flame, electricity, or chemicals this is an ideal product to use in most hazardous environments, including manholes and vaults. There are no costly tools, mechanical ties, rails, or clips required, resulting in low cost of installation.

RUDOLPH TIETZSCH GmbH & CO.RUDOLPH TIETZSCH was founded in 1950 in Castrop-Rauxel, initially specialising in precision mechanics and apparatus construction. In those days, the company built test equipment (e.g. flow testers for use with gases), either as single instruments or in small series, for industrial customers in the Ruhr area.

Insulate the constant force springs with Scotch® 23 Rubber Splicing Tape and then overlay with Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228

Position the pre-parked 3M™ Cold Shrink Outer Protection Tube over the stocking and begin to remove the inner supporting core

Continue to remove the inner core until the outer tube is fully shrunk, completing the cable joint
