Creaming Agents – Jerzee®, RICHMIX®, Quali CreamTM and QuIC CreamerTM BrandsCreaming agents are spray-dried powdered emulsions that provide improved functionality to a wide variety of finished food systems. End-use applications include hot chocolates, cappuccinos, chai teas, smoothies, nutritional beverages, meal replacement products, prepared meals, side dishes, soups, sauces and more.

Non-dairy or dairy-based creaming agents are available in both standard and “foaming” formats to provide creaminess and flavor, improve texture and mouthfeel, create structure and stability, as well as deliver nutritional properties.

Powdered Fats & Powdered Vegetable Shortenings (PVS) – CentennialTM BrandSpray dried fats are made from a variety of oil sources. These powders are a convenient source for fat delivery to add creaminess, opacity and adhesive properties. They improve ingredient handling, provide accurate measuring and enhance incorporation and distribution in mixes which result in a consistently high quality finished product.

Powdered fats are spray-dried systems that deliver emulsified fat to dry-based food products. These powders are in the 70 - 75% fat range and are available based on soybean, canola, coconut, safflower, palm or sunflower oils. There is a wide variety of powdered fats to suit your particular formulation and application needs (see Product Selection Chart on reverse). We work closely with you to create products that fit your specific needs.

WHIP TOPPING & DESSERT BASESAERATION AND VOLUME ENHANCERS

Whip toppings, soft serve and dessert bases are made from a variety of oils at varying levels withdifferent set properties and functionality. These convenient concentrated mix bases add aeration and whip volume, improved structure, stability and texture to dessert-type systems.

Whip topping and dessert bases are specialty processed spray-dried systems that deliver targeted functionality to a variety of end-use applications. Whip topping and dessert bases are made with both tropical (palm kernel and/or coconut oil) or non-tropical vegetable oils and have fat contents ranging from 28 - 67%. A wide range of functionalities are available to suit your particular application requirements.

HistoryThe United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced its preliminary determination that Partially Hydrogenated Oils (PHOs) are not GRAS for use in food. PHOs are linked to trans-fat and heart disease, and it is required that all food manufacturers list trans-fat content separately under the Nutrition Facts. This change has now allowed consumers to see how much trans-fat is in the foods they choose.2

U.S. Regulations Hydrogenation is the chemical process in which hydrogen is added to oil to create a solid. Although hydrogenation extends the shelf life and flavor of products, the resulting trans-fat (trans fatty acids) will increase LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.1

The United States Food and Drug Administration has found a direct link between diets high in trans-fat and LDL cholesterol. The increase in LDL cholesterol increases the risk of stroke and heart disease.2
