Carp France - The Concept

Carp France was established as a fishery in 1999. Our concept was formed after many years of angling many different fisheries all over the world. From fishing for Mahseer on the mighty river Cavery in Southern India, to fly-fishing for American Rainbow Trout in California, U.S.A.

From these angling excursions, I knew that French carping was some of the best carp sport available, but that there was something missing in the way fisheries here in France were run. That missing element was in the quality of accommodation. That, and also having lots of fishing space purely to yourself.

Both our lakes, Lac Lucie at 3.5 acres, and the Kingfisher lake at 7 acres can be rented on a Saturday to Saturday basis solely, for private groups. Thus giving you and your party complete privacy and relaxation.

Fishermen and anglers who rent either of the lakes have their own 5 star chalet (sleeps 6) included within the rental price - and also the use of a swimming pool.

Tim Paisley (Carp World), described Carp France as the "Family fishing heaven to set the heart racing and the reels spinning".

Carp France can also claim to be the only fishery in France to be endorsed by Chris Yates and to draw Chris Yates from his English estate lakes in search for the French carp. The chalets come with all home comforts including full-sized cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and even a T.V. with English channels.

Sleeping arrangements consist of a master bedroom with a double bed, a twin bedroom and a large sofa-bed that sleeps two. There is a full-size bathroom with W.C. Linen and towels are also supplied.

The Lac Lucie Chalet and Lake

The Chalet

Lac Lucie Chalet is a full 20m² larger than Kingfisher chalet and as with Kingfisher, it includes all home comforts, with English T.V. channels, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There's also a full-size bathroom and W.C.

Sleeping arrangements consist of a master bedroom with a double bed and also a twin bedroom. There is also a large sofa-bed that can accommodate two. Linen and towels are supplied for guests.

Bivvies are fine, but why rough it all the time? After a shower and a good sleep in a comfortable bed, you're fully refreshed for the next days fishing! Tthe extra home comforts turn your fishing trip in to a complete holiday.

Both chalets have the use of a private swimming pool - great for chilling-out on a hot day.

I have pleasure in giving a short resumé about Lac Lucie and Kingfisher Lake and their high quality inclusive accommodation. Booking forms are on pages 14 & 15. If you'd like to book either of the lakes, please print out the relevant form and either fax or post it back to us.

The Kingfisher Lake Rating: Moderate. Max. No. Persons Fishing: 6

This is the oldest of the 3 lakes at 7 acres, with carp up to 60lbs. and cats around the 135lbs. It has all the features you need, with over-hanging trees and gravel bars, to test your skills with the French giants.

This is the perfect venue for the whole family or party, and includes sole use of the lake, and luxury chalet situated close by. It sleeps up to 6 people with one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room and a double sofa-bed. You also have use of the swimming pool.

Rental Price £1195.00 per week.

Lac Lucie Rating: Moderate. Max. No. Persons Fishing: 4 Lac Lucie is a beautiful 3 acres lake with a good head of carp up to 55lbs. Mostly King Carp with a few wildies up to 20lbs., for arm wrenching fun. There are also some Wels Catfish up to 60lbs.

This lake is perfect for the family fisherman, and comes with sole use of the luxury chalet and lake which it overlooks. The chalet sleeps up to 6 people and has a large double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. You also have the use of the swimming pool.

CARP FRANCE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read this page. In any dispute, it will be assumed that you have read it.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Bookings will be confirmed in writing, following receipt of a signed booking form and deposit from the client. This will constitute a formal acceptance of the booking.

The deposit is £200.00 per week (non-refundable). It should be received within five days of reservtion and the balance received no less than TEN weeks prior to holiday. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel.

A breakage deposit cheque (£75.00) is to be paid at the time of final payment that will be returned within seven days of departure providing inspection records no breakages. The owner reserves the right to bank the cheque if breakages are discovered. If electricity used during the holiday exceeds £15.00 the owner will deduct the excess from the breakage deposit cheque. Any other necessary charges will be deducted and the balance returned along with any receipts. This does not limit the client's liability to the owner.

The client shall report to the owner without delay any broken or missing items, defects or breakdowns at the start of their holiday. The client shall reimburse the owner for any damage or breakage of the property contents and equipment in the grounds, including any caused by negligence by anyone in their party.

The property will be available from 16.00hrs. on the day of arrival. The client and party should vacate the property no later than 10.00hrs. on the day of departure.

The number of people to reside in the property will be fixed at the time of booking; additions can only made with permission of the owner before the start of the holiday. Chalets sleeps six people: one double bed, two single beds and a double sofa bed. The clients agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the property. They will be responsible for leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition. They also agree not to act in a way that would cause disturbance to others. The owner reserves the right to make a charge from the breakage deposit if it is considered that the chalet has been left in an unacceptable condition.

The owner cannot be held liable for any temporary defects or stoppage by public services to the property in respect of any equipment or appliances in the property nor any loss, damage nor injury as a result of adverse weather conditions, nor other matters however caused.

Under no circumstances shall the owners' liability exceed the amount paid for the rental. If, in the event of substantial damage to the property, caused by Force Majeur etc. before the start of the holiday, a refund will be made of all the sums paid, within seven days.

CANCELLATION: Providing notification is received in writing not less than twelve weeks prior to the start of the holiday, all monies paid will be refunded less a £50.00 cancellation fee. If cancellation takes place less than twelve weeks prior to the start of the holiday, refunds will be made if the owner is able to re-let the property. Any expense or loss incurred will be deducted from the refundable amount. If the property is unable to be re-let all rental monies are non-refundable.

Clients are NOT covered by the owners' insurance, and are STRONGLY advised to obtain comprehensive travel and personal liability insurance for their stay in France.

REMEMBER THE DANGERS OF OPEN WATER. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN IN YOUR PARTY, PLEASE NEVER LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT.

Carp France Fishery and Accommodation Rules

Fishery Rules:

1. All bait fish must be caught at fishery (if fresh water fish baits) 2. You must have a suitable landing net at all times when fishing3. No retaining fish4. You must use our unhooking mats (supplied free of charge)5. Do not leave rods unattended when your line is in the water6. Please carefully dispose of all litter including cigarette ends and tea bags7. No nuts or maize 8. You must have Klin-Ik first aid for fish (or similar make) to treat all hook wounds 9. No lead core and barbless hooks only10. No braided main lines, snag leaders or shock leaders 11. Not less than 15lbs. main line.11a. When fishing for cats minimum breaking strain is 20lbs12. Maximum of three rods per fisherman allowed13. Bait boats must be used with great care not to drive into snags14. Rig tubing must be use no less than 600mm when legering

Accommodation Rules:

1. Please do not put sanitary wear or nappies down the toilet2. The chalet should be left clean and tidy for the next party, otherwise you could be charged for the extra cleaning3. Please do not feed Max, our greedy but friendly Golden Retriever - or you may find you have no bait left!4. Arrival time no earlier than 16.00hrs.5. Departure time no later than 10.00hrs.

These rules are set out for the welfare of the fish and to ensure quality fishing and and enjoyable stay for all our guests.

If you neglect to abide by the rules above, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the fishery and also your accommodation.
