Your Financial Investment
A TAB business gives you choices. You decide - balancing income, capital growth and lifestyle whilst you do work you enjoy, when you want to do it. Your income will build to a six figure sum in the first 2-3 years of your TAB business.
Importantly, you are not competing with other TAB Franchise Owners - you own an exclusive territory so when the time comes you can sell all or part of it, as many of our franchise owners have done over the years.

A short summary of the background of three of our UK Franchise Owners follows
Recruitment Criteria
Drive, ambition and enthusiasm to grow
and develop their own successful business
Our most successful Franchise Owners have ...
Business experience to enable them to empathise with the issues
& opportunities faced by business owners
Good interpersonal skills to build long term relationships
Andy Wilson, TAB Cambridge
During a long career with RBS, Andy had a natural ability for creating new businesses for the Group. He played key roles in the launch of Tesco Personal Finance, the first UK supermarket bank and Corporate Banking, London where he established sector focused relationship teams to provide a more tailored service for corporate clients.
He co-founded a start-up company in 2005, taking it to £4 million of annualised turnover within its first two years. In 2009 he established a chain of successful franchised children's' music schools in the Hertfordshire area. Andy is also a director of Stortford Music Festival, a successful, growing UK music festival which is now a Community Interest Company (CIC).
Andy has a real passion for helping business owners and knows, from his own experience, how important it is to start with what you want from your personal life, aligning your business to deliver the life you want rather than letting the business run you.
Ed Reid, TAB York
Ed’s particular expertise is sales and marketing; from establishing the right framework, to delivering outstanding results at the top and bottom line.
Having run multi-discipline sales teams of up to 300 people, as well as teams of less than 10 in SMEs, his understanding of what needs doing, how and by whom, is second to none. He has helped turn around a number of companies’ sales strategies by ensuring everyone is focussed on doing the right things – often easier said than done.
His experience crosses a number of sectors; from British Steel, to Diageo, Nestle and Simpson Group, the printed point-of-sale specialist. Whilst one size does not fit all, there are certain disciplines which just work, irrespective of sector. Ed’s real passion is helping businesses get more focussed on what’s important to them and their customers, and his role with The Alternative Board allows him to do exactly that.
Stephen Heslop, TAB Edinburgh & Fife
Stephen has had a very successful career in FMCG and most recently as CEO of the Real Good Food Plc, a £234m turnover food manufacturing group. His skills and experience span a number of core disciplines from operational and commercial management to strategic planning. During his 27 years in industry his specialist areas have focussed around business development, rationalisation and turnaround.
Having originally trained as an engineer, Stephen progressed to General Management, becoming General Manager of a large manufacturing facility within the RHM group. He held a number of Operational and Commercial Director roles before becoming Managing Director of his first business in 1995 within the Hazlewood Group. During his career he has also worked for Dalgety building a new factory in the North West; and was MD of Golden West Foods managing the entire McDonalds UK supply chain.
In 2010 Stephen became a Master of Neuro-Linguistic Programming to further develop his own coaching and facilitation skills. He has a passion for delivering superior results for both businesses and individuals. His focus is on achieving complete alignment within a business to ensure the business is capable of delivering its strategic plans.
