Story beliefs

Turtle gets a shell is one of the stories the Native Americans parents told to there children. It stars a ordinary turtle that does not have a shell. The reason the turtle does not have a shell is because it was never created. One day an old man came up to the turtle and stepped on him. For doing that the man wanted to give the turtle a gift. So he dove down to the bottom of the river and got a shell. “Here is your shell. If any one comes and threatens you just go under your shell.”
