POTHOLES
A pothole is a type of failure in an asphalt pavement, caused by
the presence of water in the underlying soil structure and the presence of traffic passing over
the affected area.
POTHOLES IN MEXICOMEXICO CITY IS A CITY IN WICH SEEING A POTHOLE IN EVERY STREETH IS COMMON
BECAUSE THE MEXICO GOVERNMENT IS ALWAYS PAYING LESS FOR A MANUFACTURE THAT COST
MILLIONS OF PESOS BUT THEY FINALLY GET HANDICAPPED BECAUSE IT JUST LAST A YEAR.
The poor quality of the materials and the lack of planning that exists in the patching Mexico City make
this problem persists despite the huge investments that the city government and the delegations made in this area. In October 2010 the Government of the Federal
District ( GDF ) has earmarked 100 million two thousand pesos to repair potholes in the city. The
capital management programs used in a mixture called patching asphalt emulsion which is supplied by the
asphalt plant under the city government , which produces 4 200 tons per day . Unlike hydraulic concrete
, which has a durability of at least 15 years , asphalt emulsions may be broken in one year due to water
seepage .

2. Providing adequate drainage structures.3. Preventative maintenance.4. Utility cut management.
