He has been awarded the membership in restorative dentistry and the highly prestigious intercollegiate speciality fellowship in restorative dentistry jointly awarded by the English and Scottish Royal Colleges.

In addition he has trained extensively in North America and Europe in advanced restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry.

He is Clinical Director of Smile Concepts’ Private and Multidisciplinary Specialist Referral, Implant and Cosmetic Centre, and is Director of the Dominic Hassall Training Institute.

Dominic is a former Harley Street Consultant and is registered on 4 specialist lists.

He is a pioneer in postgraduate dental education initiating the UK’s very first MSc in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry and the MSc Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, University Warwick. He was course director for both courses before focusing on his own training institute, enabling him to provide more clinically focused and cutting edge training.

He has published extensively on a range of clinically related restorative, aesthetic, occlusal and implant topics and is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Advanced Clinical Dentistry.

Residential Training or Blended Online LearningThe way we live our lives has been changing rapidly, and our learning habits have been changing too. The traditional classroom environment is still right for many of our postgraduate students, but a growing number prefer the flexibility and freedom that online learning can give them.

Bioclear Method Composite Course (Levels 1-4, 2 x 2-day courses)This highly practical course is designed for all dentists who wish to increase their skills in modern techniques for successful composite restorations.

The Bioclear method represents a truly innovative development in the provision of both anterior and posterior composites. It introduces the use of the heated “injection moulded” composite placement technique in conjunction with the use of the anatomically shaped David Clark matrix system.

It provides highly aesthetic, well adapted anatomically shaped anterior and posterior composites with excellent longevity.

The Dominic Hassall Training Institute is an International Bioclear Learning Centre; therefore delegates who complete the course at the BLC will become Certified Bioclear Practitioners.

Instructed by Dr Claire Burgess, the certified UK Bioclear Method Instructor.

The Bioclear composite course includes Levels 1 and 3 (foundation and advanced anterior composites) and Levels 2 and 4 (foundation and advanced posterior composites). This format for the courses will be available from September 2017.

The courses are focussed on anterior composites for one course, then posterior composites for the second course.

This method of learning has been shown in USA to be the most effective.
