Postgraduate Orthopaedics in collaboration with UDAI OMNI Hospital Hyderabad, India are proud to announce our second International FRCS (Tr&Orth) revision course This course offers an intense and comprehensive review of Orthopaedics and is ideally suited to candidates planning to sit the International FRCS (Tr&Orth) examination in orthopaedics 2018/2019. The course has been divided into 2 days of lectures, a one-day viva practice session and a one-day advanced clinical study day. The course is based on the highly successful 6-day UK course format that the Postgraduate Orthopaedic group has been running for a number of years. This course has excellent candidate feedback. This 4-day course is a condensed version of the UK course designed to provide high yield orthopaedic topics and preparation for the International FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam. It is internationally accredited by the RCSEng the only FRCS(TR&Orth) course worldwide with this accolade.
Lecture presentations. The lectures will cover all aspects of the key topics you need to know for the exam. The lectures will focus on important areas of the syllabus that regularly appear in the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam. Lectures will be geared towards A list high yield exam topics Viva Course for the FRCS (Tr&Orth). The Viva Course for the FRCS (Tr&Orth) exam is a mixture of viva topics with typical exam questions with time built in for teaching and also feedback from experienced faculty. It has had excellent feedback from previous candidates. Advanced Clinical Examination study day for the FRCS (Tr&Orth). The advanced clinical examination course will take the form of a series of lectures from faculty on how they would perform an examination of each joint. Delegates will then split into groups and will rotate around a circuit of examination stations with patients to demonstrate on. The clinical examination day in the UK involves a mock clinical examination with candidates examining over 40 patients in a day. Whilst we are unlikely to reach this patient number in Hyderabad one of the reasons for choosing India was our anticipation of a large and wide variety of clinical cases that could be provided by the host hospital.
