In the past people lived in

humble houses with their own

animals.

Our grandfathers worked as

farmers, shepherds,

shoemakers, basket makers,

fishermen, metalworkers and so

on ...

In their spare time they usually

played cards.

Grandmothers helped their

men in the country. They also

worked at home and looked

after their big family.

In their spare time, they

joined to other women (next-

door neighbours) to make

textile works (embroidery,

yarn, crocket…) while gossiping.

Children attended school until

the age of 8, they helped their

parents in their works and

played old games in the street.

In passato le persone vivevano in

case modeste con i loro animali in

casa.

I nostri nonni lavoravano come

contadini, pastori, calzolai, cestai,

pescatori, manifatturieri di

utensili in rame o alluminio ed

altro …

Nel loro tempo libero giocavano a

carte.

Le nonne aiutavano gli uomini nei

lavori in campagna. Lavoravano

anche a casa occupandosi della

numerosa famiglia.

Nel loro tempo libero si riunivano

con altre donne (vicine di casa)

per fare lavori tessili (ricamare,

filare, uncinetto, …) e nel

frattempo spettegolavano.

I bambini frequentavano la scuola

fino all’età di 8 anni; aiutavano i

loro genitori e giocavano per

strada.
