FILM POSTER PLAN

FEMME FETALEI was inspired by the Gone Girl film poster to have the Femme Fetale (Lilah) faded into the background and almost overlooking what is going on below her.

This is because it believe it symbolises the underlying power that the female character holds and how they can control and dominate those around them.

Possibly in our final poster, we may wish to incorporate the male protagonist in the image as well.

URBAN SETTING

I thought that the incorporation of an urban setting at night would be effective in our poster as this is a key convention of Noir that is seen in films and posters such as ‘Nightcrawler’ and ‘Sin City’. It also adds to the thriller element of our film as nighttime connotes the unknown, tension and mystery.

BLACK AND WHITE

In my plan I thought that using a black and white colouring would be effective as firstly it will link all three texts together as our front cover is going to be black and white and our trailer will include low key and chiaroscuro lighting. It also shows audience a clear cross over from the classic noir convention and will engage that niche audience immediately.

FONT

I thought that this font (Urban Jungle) fitted well with the poster as it depicts building in the lettering which coincides with the image and it is also bold and eye catching which is a key convention of film posters.
