POSTER-MAKING COMPETITION Contest Guidelines ELIGIBILITY The competition is open to all students of Philippine Higher Education Institutions. GUIDELINES answer the question "Can we live without Statistics?" in relation to the 28 91 National Statistics Month's theme: "Figures for the Future: Realizing AmBisyon Nation 2040 Through Statistics" make use of infographics should be an electronic file in jpeg format with 300 DPI (Dots per inch) or print resolution of 3508 pixels x 4961 pixels COMPETITION AND JUDGING The competition has two stages: Regional and National. First Placers from the Regional Level of the competition will compete in the National Level. The Criteria for iudqinci is as follows' CRITERIA 3 2 1 Average Appearance (50%) The poster attracts viewer's attention. Words are easy to read from appropriate distance (3-5) feet. Text color and background color complements. Background color doesn't obscure or dim text. Graphics and other visuals are clear not pixelated or blurry. All images are relevant and neccesary to the poster. Message / Content (50%) Message / content is clear and concise. Content is not duplicated in text and graphics. Purpose of the poster is stated clearly. Conclusions are stated clearly. AVERAGE SUBMISSIONS Entries must be submitted to the CHED Regional Office on or before 5:00 PM of September 15, 2017. Participants may submit the poster personally, electronically (INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS HERE) or through a courier, provided that entries are received by the CHED Regional Office on or before the deadline. COMPETITION AND JUDGING

September 15, 2017.

HERE) or through a courier, provided that entries are received by the CHED Regional

Office on or before the deadline.

AWARDS

Regional level winners will be announced on September 29, 2017.

Prices for the Regional Level winners include:

FIRST PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Regional

Director and work will be posted in the CHED Regional Office Website.

SECOND PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Regional

Director.

THIRD PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Regional

Director.

Winners of the National Level will be announced on October 15, 2017 and will be

awarded during the Culmination of the National Statistics Month Celebration.

Prices for the National Level winners include:

FIRST PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Chairperson and

another Certificate of Recognition from the Philippine Statistics Authority. The

National level winner's work will be posted in the Higher Education Portal.

SECOND PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Chairperson.

THIRD PLACE: Certificate of Recognition signed by the CHED Chairperson.
