Week 2:

The 5-Week Quickstart The 5-Week Quickstart is your plan to immediately apply the 5 Choices and begin creating extraordinary productivity in your work and life. With practice, these choices will become habits. Click on the following link to access your 5 Week Quickstart portal: the5choies.com/quickstart Login in if you have registered already or click on GET STARTED. Use "Extraordinary" as the activation code. Once you log in, the first page allows you to set up reminders and one or more accountability partners. The reminder types are as follows:

Weekly Summary: This is a summary of how well you did each week in keeping your commitments. If you select accountability

partner(s) below, this will also be sent to them. Weekly Q2 Planning: This is a weekly reminder to do your Weekly Q2 Planning. It will be sent to you Saturday before the coming week. Fuel Your Fire: This is a weekly reminder to Fuel Your Fire throughout the week. It will be sent to you Saturday before the coming

week. Daily Q2 Planning: This is a daily reminder to do your Daily Q2 Planning. It will be sent to you the evening before each day.

When you pick an accountability partner, this system will send them an e-mail asking them to participate. If they choose to do so, they will receive your weekly report each week. We recommend that you pick someone who has a real interest in helping you improve, like your boss, a key coworker or a close friend. The next steps is to Pick the Start Week for your 5 weeks and put it in the Start Week box. This will unlock the rest of the Dashboard.

Enter the Report Session date that you or your company have established as the "finish line" for accomplishing your commitments.

Detailed process is available on the protal. When you complete a commitment, you will earn a "badge" that goes in the upper right of the dashboard. Each time you earn a badge you have the option to share it with your friends via Facebook and Twitter.

By now, you should have had a Q2 conversation with your boss (manager) AND with your co-worker(s) or team.

Identifying the Q2 activities will make the most difference in your work. Look for ways to increase the time and energy you spend on those things by eliminating things that are less important. Keep the Q2 Conversation Starter tool handly. Click on the following button to download the tool.

By now, you should have crafted your Q2 Role Statements AND your Q2 Goals.

Crafting a clear and compelling Q2 Role Statement for each of the roles in your life and then identify Q2 Goals that will help you fulfill your key roles will help you Go for Extraordinary. Keep the Q2 Roles and Goals Worksheet handly. Click on the following button to download the tool.

Week 5:

The 5-Week Quickstart - Week 3

By now, you should have started to religiously work on your Weekly and Daily Q2 planning.

Invest at least 30 minutes a week and 10 minutes a day in thoughtful Q2 planning. You should be using your choice of tools to plan weekly and daily. You may choose to download and use the Q2 Planning Worksheet and Weekly Calendar Worksheet as tools. Click on the following buttons to download the respective tools.

Continue to keep up the great work on your Weekly and Daily Q2 planning.

Design and Improve your system to manage the Core 4. Kindly make sure that you are using one system - paper or digital to manage the Core 4. If digital, make sure you pick up a system that syncs and allows you consistent access through all your devices. Additionally, make sure that you have set up at least 3 rules to keep you inbox focused on your Q2 priorities. Visit the5choies.com/quickstart and update your status on the 5-Week Quickstart. Week 7:

The 5-Week Quickstart - Week 5

Continue to keep up the great work on your Weekly and Daily Q2 planning and stay on top of your technology.

Consistently carry out one activity from your "Fuel your Fire" plan that will increase your physical and mental energy. These activities should be a part of your weekly and Daily Q2 planning. Keep the Fuel Your Fire Worksheet handly always. Click on the following button to download the tool.

By now you should have complete your 5-week Quickstart commitments. Visit the5choies.com/quickstart and update your status on the 5-Week Quickstart. We urge you to keep up with the momentum and continue working on these small behaviours and we gurantee you that these will have a very positive impact. Review all 3 Bonus Modules and take meaningful action to imporve on those. If you have taken up the 5Choices benchmark, it is time for your to take the re-benchmark. If you have been disciplined in carrying out the 5-Week Quickstart, you will see a significant improvement in your

Week 8:

Choice 1: Act on the Important, Don't React to the Urgent.

Many people think if they could just do more things faster, they'd be more productive. Their brains are hijacked by incoming demands; they lose the ability to discern between important and unimportant priorities. By contrast, extraordinarily productive people don't just react to the "incoming." They carefully discern important from unimportant priorities, and they are proactive about investing their time only in those things that deserve their finest effort and attention. This is the first Choice to make if you want an extraordinary life. Many people fail to realize they have the power to choose for themselves how they will live and work. They see themselves as victims of their circumstances. But if you make Choice 1, you literally take charge of your life. You're free to create your own future. Choice 2: Go for Extraordinary, Don't Settle for Ordinary.

Having made Choice 1, you can now get clear on exactly what is important to you. Too many see themselves as "ordinary," as cogs in a big organizational machine. They lack a clearly defined, motivating vision of the extraordinary contribution they could be making. The truly productive don't just play the game, they change the game. They don't just do what's expected, they create their own future. They are not just "walking job descriptions"—they make a unique difference that matters. Choice 3: Schedule the Big Rocks, Don't Sort Gravel.

If you've made Choice 2 and clarified the extraordinary things you want to achieve in your life, you're ready to make a plan to actually make them happen. So many live life by default. They use what energy they have on just keeping up, and they're so often frustrated at their inability to do even that. Life is just one thing after another, a stream of undifferentiated "gravel." But this is not a picture of productivity. The truly productive actively plan how they will use their time and energy, ensuring that it goes to the "big rocks" rather than keeping up with the gravel. Choice 4: Rule Your Technology, Don't Let It Rule You.

Now you have your Choice 3 plan in place, but there's a problem. You can easily get blown off course by relentless demands on your time that come at you "virtually" every minute. Just when you're getting mastery over your own life, your technology threatens to master you. Hundreds of apps are available that promise to increase productivity. Ironically, as we've seen, technology can do the opposite and disrupt productivity. Many people are "urgency addicts" who can't look up from their smartphones long enough to avoid walking into walls. But you can leverage the same technology to become extraordinarily productive. You can design a system for yourself that keeps you focused on the important and fends off the unimportant. Choice 5: Fuel Your Fire, Don't Burn Out.

You've made Choices 1 through 4. You have a new mindset, a new plan, and a new system to make it happen. But without the physical and mental energy to pursue your dreams, you risk falling victim to your own personal "energy crisis." The crushing stress we live with can bake the brain-literally. A stressed-out brain is continually immersed in adrenaline, a high-octane chemical that over-stimulates every system of the body. The result-we wear down fast, we barely get through the day, we become exhausted or even ill. And eventually we burn out. True productivity requires recharging the brain and body continually. People inspired by a high purpose can go far, but if they are actively caring for the brain-feeding, resting, and exercising it properly-they can go infinitely further.
