WOP DUBAI, the Middle East’s leading exhibition for fresh fruits and vegetables business continue growing! 26 % visitor’s increase from the last year, 31% growth on the rented space and many more.
For the sixth consecutive year the show WOP DUBAI was organized under the patronage if His High-ness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality.
The exhibition took place November 09th – 11th, 2014 at The Dubai World Trade Centre, alongside the 9th edition of IPM DUBAI – The International Plants Expo Middle East, the region’s dedicated plants and flowers trade show. Both shows were inaugurated by H.E. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Direc-tor- General of the Dubai Municipality and are organized by planetfair Dubai and Messe Essen GmbH in cooperation with the Dubai Munici-pality and Dubai Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, the Middle East’s biggest market for import and export.
The total outcome of the show this year reflected again the huge growth in the trade of perishables in the Middle East and proved the position of WOP DUBAI as the only trade fair for fresh produce in the region as well as strengthen the emirate of Dubai as an important destination and a worldwide trading center for fruits and vegetables. The constant growth of past years continued this year.
Overall, 170 participating companies from 24 exhibited at WOP DUBAI 2014 and presented a wide range of products and services. They came from Australia, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kenya, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Morocco, Neth-erlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States.
4436 traders and industry professional from 80 di�erent countries visited the exhibition with a growth of 26 % from the last year for WOP attendance figures. 7743 visitors’ attended both shows with the general total growth of 26 % from WOP 2013 figures.
2015 will continue its success with the same venue Dubai World Trade Centre - the most prestigious exhibition center in the Middle East - where it is expected to have another substantial increase of space and capacity for the exhibition and provider exhibitors more services and space options.

2014 profile was entirely focused towards the fresh fruits and vegetables trade with a good share of the services providers such as logistic transport and fresh produce media. Based on the feedback we received from visitors, Wholesalers, and biggest dealer within the region, WOP DUBAI 2015 profile will be planned to expand and cover all the major categories of the fresh produce industry including Technical equipment, safety, logistics and other related services.
10 O¤cial country pavilions were participating at the show, came from Australia, Egypt, China, France, Moldova, Morocco, Netherland, Poland, Portugal, and Cyprus. 4 new country pavilion attended for the first time came from Morocco, Moldova, Poland, and North Cyprus. WOP DUBAI 2014 also welcomed on board (UASC) United Arab Shipping Company - the biggest Middle East shipping company as an exhibitor for the first time.

For six consecutive years, the co-operation with Dubai Municipality Central Fruit & Vegetable Department was the success pillar of WOP DUBAI. WOP DUBAI 2014 was organized under the patronage of Dubai Municipality. Both Dubai Municipality & WOP follow the same goal to turn the Emirate into a worldwide trading center for fruits & vegetables.
The show was also honored to welcome H.E Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi is the Minister for Foreign Trade for the first time.
The partnership – with the largest center for trade and distribution of fresh produce in the Middle East – will ensure that WOP continues to be the most important meeting point of the industry in the Middle East. WOP exhibitors will be able to take full advantage of the huge purchasing potential of wholesalers and retailers from the entire Middle East.
The tremendous participation of the UAE fresh produce leading companies along with tenants in the region’s biggest Dubai Central Vegetable & Fruit Market (Aweer) was one of the show’s success pillars.
19 UAE local companies and tenants of Aweer Market where participating at WOP DUBAI 2014 and presented their services and products in a special presentation and exceptional oriented stand designs. WOP continues the remarkable co-operation with Dubai Municipality represented by Dubai Central Fruits & Vegetables Market the region’s largest market for fresh produce. Dubai Central Fruit & Vegetable Market developed an outstanding partnership with WOP DUBAI. The WOP DUBAI & IPM DUBAI were attended by 7743 visitors from over 94 nations, of which the WOP DUBAI registered visitors accounted
for 4,436 trade visitors. 4,436 visited WOP DUBAI 2014 with the 15% overlap with the IPM DUBAI 2014 visitors. 71.5% of those foreign came
from the GCC, Iran and the other Middle East countries. 13.2% came from Europe, 6.7% from the Indian Subcontinent, 3.6% from Africa, 2.5
% from the Far East, 2.5 % from the Americas. For the sixth time, the high quality of international trade visitors has ensured that the exhibitors
were highly pleased with the contacts that they have made. Highest profile visitors attended this year WOP DUBAI 2014 from wholesalers
and retailers, hyper markets and major supermarkets, purchasers from hotels and restaurants as well as juice producers including but not
limited to: Carrefour, Hyperpanda, Accor Hotels Group, Spinneys, Co-operation Society, and Choithram.
