Themes & MessageConference
Over 1,100 attendeesThe O=MEGA19 Clinical Conference was presented by
Optometry Victoria and replaced SRC. It brought together both international and domestic speakers in a cutting-edge
educational program. The dual stream format was tailored to meet the needs of optometrists at all stages of their career,
with the choice of attending the clinical conference over one, two or three days.
The conference has been the strongest presented in Australia for many years, with the biggest line-up of world-class
speakers participating, including keynotes Danica J. Marrelli and Dr. Jordan Keith already.

FeaturesLive Window DressingKerry from Through the Looking Glass created her eye-catching window displays from an empty window space to the finished design on the show floor over the 3 days. Attendees were able to learn about design tips, upcoming trends and what to do with all the point of sale items that end up in their office.
Window Dressing Competition New to OMEGA19 was the Window Dressing Competition open to all optical retailers with street frontages. The displays were judged on a range of criteria, including: overall impression and visual impact; creativity and innovation; styling communicates a theme and clever use of retailers’ products; effort and business collaboration; and street impact. Entries were judged by Justin Compton and Sue Robinson, Diploma of Visual Merchandising, RMIT University. The winners were confirmed as:
• 1st place: Eye Style Optical, Ulverstone • 2nd place: A+ Optometry• 3rd place: Bayside Eyecare
Golden Ticket CompetitionOpen to all Exhibitor Reps and Sales staff, it was their responsibility to issue the O=MEGA19 branded Golden Tickets to their customers – including optometrists, dispensers and practice staff. The customer then had to attend O=MEGA19 and must complete their name and affix Practice stamp and/or business card to the Golden Ticket which had to be hand posted in the prize barrel located inside the exhibition hall.
The prize of a trip to Koh Samui was then awarded to the exhibitor and visitor who was drawn on Sunday 21 July 2019 @ 4pm.
