In 2004, Bahrains Ruqaya Al Ghasara, a devout Muslim, was the first athlete to ever take part in an Olympics wearing a hijab. Today, Al Ghasara won her heat of the womens 200m sprint at the Birds Nest stadium despite being clothed head to foot. May 13-14, 2014 Wrestling is Iranians' national and ancient sport and the most popular sport in Iran. Iran is known to the home of talented wrestlers and prominent champions. Now imagine women, half of the Iranian population, are deprived of learning wrestling in sport clubs. It is a great step that the Iranian Wrestling Federation is developing belt wrestling for women! Criteria: - Outfit should cover the curves of the body - Outfit should cover hair and neck - Outfit should be reinforced yet to remain secure - Outfit should be safe for both athlete and the opponent - No button, string and Velcro should be used A secure one piece head scarf attached to a cropped tank top will be worn over the the wrestling outfit. The scarf top will completely cover the wide collar and secure the head scarf from twisting in while wrestling. A headgear similar to the rugby headgear will be installed into the scarf to prevent it from removing the scarf in the match. A skirt is fixed to the body suit to cover the body curves.
