Posion Report” Tim & Cheryl Doggett Two Wonderful Gifts Winter 2015 This was the first time our leaders from multiple countries have come together for a face to face meeting on the field. Much of our time was spent learning about Spiritual For- mation under the tutelage of Neal Windham of Lincoln Christian Uni- versity. Our main objective was to make time to listen to what God was saying to us both as individuals and as a team. We believe a firm foundation has been laid concerning the role of this team in the future of ACMI. We know that God wants to grow these teams and we know this means we need good leadership. There is so much work to be done on each of these fields! The harvest is truly plentiful. During the even- ing times each family took their turn sharing what God was doing in their lives and ministries and we ended the day with a time of corporate worship praising God for what He was doing. Luke (our son) and Eri- ka agreed to join us and take care of the kids during our meeting times. (A huge thanks to them!!) The chil- dren also really became good friends. It was a wonderful five days and it was hard to say good- bye. The plan now is to try to meet monthly (by Skype). We want to be accountable to one another, to en- courage and support one another, to grow and mature as leaders, and we want to learn together what God has planned for us in the future. Both of these special opportuni- ties are the kind of thing that really gets my blood pumping. Investing in the lives of men and women who are expanding the Kingdom of Jesus is what Cheryl and I are called to and what a privilege it is to learn and grow beside leaders from two different continents in a variety of roles. It literally seems like a dream come true. Thank You Father for your wonderful gifts! Greetings from St. Louis, where the weather can’t seem to decide whether it is still Winter, or whether we have made the change to Spring! Quite different than the steady temperatures in Kenya. We just finished the first three month rotation in Africa and I’m writing from my desk at the ACM Interna- tional office. Though this past month has been quite the whirl- wind of activity, I have found some time to reflect a bit on the beginning of this new chapter in our lives. Of course most of our recent past has been about transi- tion: A new country, a new home, a somewhat new environment, new relationships, a new employ- ment status with Samaritan’s Purse, new roles within ACMI and of course the challenge of getting back up to speed in the cockpit. As the flurry of transition begins to settle, however, there are two prominent experiences (special gifts of time) that come to mind. Number One More than ten years ago, I be- gan a new relationship with a young man named Amos Simiyu. Amos, who had previously been a cook at the tented camp where we often stayed, had been hired by our consortium of mission aviators to help with logistics at an inter- mediate base in Northwestern Kenya. He was a very hard work- er, was extremely dependable, and always provided exactly what we needed to do our job well. Not long after we left East Africa, I heard that he was learning to fly! A pretty long communication gap followed as God led us down two very different paths but those paths suddenly came back together as we began this new assignment. Amos is now a fellow pilot with Samaritan’s Purse, hired just before I was! One of the duties (or rather a privilege) recently assigned to me was to assist with the training of our newest pilots (there are several). So I have spent significant time in the cockpit, sitting next to Amos as we, once again, share life and work to- gether. He and his precious family have been on quite a journey, in- cluding significant time in the U.S.. They are now based in Eldoret a few blocks from our apartment where he, his wife and his children are active in the church and in the community, cultivating relation- ships and making disciples. Thank you, Father, for the gift of working alongside my brother, Amos, once again. What an awesome blessing! Amos & some new friends posing in front of the SP Cessna Caravan on one of our supply runs. Number Two The second special gift from God was the time we got to spend, face to face, on the ground, in Afri- ca, with our new ACM Internation- al Management Team. I introduced this team in our Summer newsletter last year. Until this month we had conducted all our meetings by Skype. Last year, when we began to discuss our move to Africa, we were delighted to discover that all four families would be in East Afri- ca at the same time! So we began to make plans for a field retreat.

Praise God For: * The wonderful oppor-tunity to invest in the lives of God’s servants. * A really, really fun, once in a life time vaca-tion with our whole fam-ily together—all the kids and grandkids! * The life of our pre-cious Mom Winburn, for the wonderful memorial service, and for the eter-nal life she is now expe-riencing. * A good (though very full) month focusing exclusively on ACMI. Please Pray For: * Our transition back to our home in Africa. * For wisdom in arrang-ing our duties & sched-ule in the way that hon-ors God most & accom-plishes His purposes. * Cheryl, her family, and Bill DeLaughter and his family, as they mourn the loss of their loved ones. * Many more opportu-nities to invest in the lives of God’s servants. May many come to know Jesus, and may His Kingdom grow!

We need to let you know that Cheryl’s Mom, Isabelle Winburn, has made her long awaited transition to her eter-nal home. We received this news while on the Manage-ment Team retreat. Cheryl’s brother Rick called during one of our evening worship times and we were granted a few cherished minutes to tell her that we love her one more time. We were so grateful to Rick and found out later that even though there had been many previ-ous attempts, this was his first successful connection with us. Isabelle’s memorial service, at our home church, was beautiful! We shared many fond memories of our precious time with Mom on this earth. We rejoice that she is home with her Jesus!

journey to heaven. Bill and Leah made the needed changes in the arrange-ments for John & Hannah and then headed back To the U.S. for the funeral. The Slavichs took ad-vantage of this time by traveling to Arusha to spend some time with our brothers and sisters there: Prosper and Sophie, who lead the discipleship movement there, and Glen and Ivy who have also played a key role in the ministry there. In retro-spect, this has worked out to be a Win/Win, an even better plan than the origi-nal. Again, thank you Je-sus for being our King!

We are so pleased to announce that John and Hannah Slavich are now in Tanzania for a short tour of service. They departed the same week we arrived in St. Louis, so we got to see them off. The Lord provid-ed the needed partners and financial support in a mi-raculous way in the final hour. What a faith builder these times are for our new members. We are always amazed, even though we have seen this happen many times before. John and Hannah have had an interesting introduc-tion to Africa. While they were on a layover in Swit-zerland, Bill DeLaughter, our Tanzania team leader, received word that his fa-ther had also made his
