a flamboyant theatrical performance featuring ‘Willy little’, raconteur and lead actor of the navy cut players, a fictional cruise ship entertainment troupe. based upon Willy’s reminiscences, the show is performed entirely in lip-synch by alternative cabaret artist Dickie beau, and celebrates the rich tradition of music hall in our region. Written and devised by brimfield and co-produced with Dickie beau and composer paul higgs.

Winterling is working in collaboration with lymington-based architect magnus Ström, barton engineers and pete Durnell of hampshire county council countryside Service, to create an architectural sculpture on the seawall. the sculpture takes the form of a shelter and incorporates ‘aerogel’, a luminous material which also resembles the physical qualities of salt, reflecting the history of the location and its important role in the salt industry. it provides a place to stop and take in the impressive surroundings of the reserve, with views towards the isle of Wight and hurst castle, and to reflect on the relationship between the sculpture and the environment.
