Portola Hotel & Spa received the topaward for Interior Design: Restaurant/Hospitalitywhich recognized RoseBernard Studio and thewhole project team for its ground-breaking designand commitment to thought leadership inmeetingtheneedsofapositivefutureforsociety.
Portola Hotel & Spa was recognized for theirrenovation of the lobby and coastal eatery,JacksMonterey.

SanFranciscoDesignWeek(SFDW),thepremiergathering of the world’s most active designcommunity,debutedthefirstannualSanFranciscoDesignWeekAwardsatPier27SanFranciscoin2018.Thetheme,“WhereInnovationMeetsSocialResponsibility” was met by award winners fromleadingdesignfirms, in-houseteams,andcreativeindividuals, who were honored during a presspreviewat theSFDWOpeningNightReceptionatPier27,SanFrancisco.
SFDW Design Awards is an international designcompetition seeking to encourage thoughtleadership by supporting designers whose workscancontributetowardsapositivefutureforsociety.The Design Awards celebrates and recognizesexemplary work in all fields of design, includingarchitecture, interior design, industrial design,communication design, and user experiencedesign. Twenty-four winning projects and Eleven honorable mentions were selected by a jury comprised of distinguishedprofessionals,who reviewedsubmissions fromanexceptionallycompetitivepoolofapplicants fromthe USA and Europe.
The winning projects were awarded to designers from the USA, United Kingdom, andGermany, from a pool of applicants in the following categories: Architecture – Altruistic; Architecture – Residential; Architecture –Commercial;Biotech;CommunicationsDesign,;FashTech;FinTech;FurnitureInnovation;FutureofFoods; Interior Design -Office:Commercial; InteriorDesign–Residential; InteriorDesign -Restaurant:Hospitality; IOT;Student Innovation;UrbanMobility;VirtualTech;andWildCard.
