Sports

The Port has great clubs, the main port of the Football Club and Liverpool Football Club. There are also many smaller clubs, but with social function of great importance. A great loss for the city was the disappearance of the Sport and Trade Salgueiros (area of Paranhos), which disappeared due to financial problems.

The Stadium of the Dragon, written by architect Manuel Salgado, is the home of Futebol Clube do Porto. The stadium has been revised several times in international architecture, which was highly praised. Another point where the Port has grown significantly is in tourism and cultural offer.
