Portfolio Writing It is a collection of student writing that’s intended to demonstrate the student/ writer development over the course of one or more academic terms.

Purpose of Portfolio Writing
1. Assess their own work and their progress as writers.
2. Demonstrate a writer's improvement and achievements.
3. It allows writers to collect a body of writing in one place and to organize and present it in an effective, attractive format.
4. It helps instructor to focus more on the complete body of work than on individual assignments.
5. Students reflect on their work and measure their progress; as they do so, they may improve their ability to evaluate their own work.

skills, knowledge, projects and experiences.
Multi-Faceted way to organize accomplishments, goals, aspirations,
and personal thought.
It is a useful tool to include in an interview. It provides tangible
proof of your skills and abilities and demonstrates to the employer
that you are qualified for that specific job.
A portfolio demonstrates prior work or learning experiences that can
be useful for educational credit.
