The rain was heavy enough to cause a delay during the first quarter, with fans directed to seek shelter below the overhanging decks.

Weather during the first few weeks of classes has varied dramatically, leaving most students unprepared for events such as this torrential downpour which swept over the campus and surrounding city of Pittsburg, Kansas.

Amber Hawk's July 14, 2012 post-run cool down session is interrupted by a nip from her rescued puppy, Jethro. The labrador mix was found on Fort Campbell, Kentucky by her husband, Sgt. First Class James Hawk, who brought him home to their nearby Oak Grove residence.

MISCELLANEOUS

Veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder often struggle with a range of extreme emotions, from despair to rage. The separation from their lives in the military can prove to be challenging when adapting to the outside world, even to their own families.
