Teluk Jakarta” . This book is ta lk ing about the other s ide of our capita l c i ty Jakarta.

S ince I th ink that Kepulauan Ser ibu is the forgotten regency of Jakarta that has

tons of tour ism potent ia l . This book a imed to e levate the level of mar ine tour ism

of Jakarta Kepulauan Ser ibu.

This F inal Pro ject has been l isted & showcased in Fresh n Br ite 2013 “Playhard” , an

annual event of best graduate students of B ina Nusantara School of Design.

A tradit ional theatr ica l performance f rom Abang None Jakarta ent it led “SoekmaDja ja” held in

Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. I had my chance to got double ro les ; both as a cast and graphic designer .

They wanted to have both of t radit ional and modern v ibe on the v isual so I t ranslated thei r ideas by

having a modern l ine art with t radit ional Bat ik Betawi pattern and manual i l lustrat ion of Ondel

Ondel Betawi as i ts main story p lot .

Midnight L ights is a personal pro ject I d id in a miss ion to do a photography explo-

rat ion us ing low l ight and s low exposure as i ts main medium. The concept of

Midnight L ights i tse lf is how could we see the c ity I l ive in in d ifferent angle .

Because as we know, Jakarta is wel l known for i ts concrete jungle , the c ity that

never s leeps; and the peoples is indi rect ly l iv ing in the love-hate re lat ionship-an

agony. They cursed the c ity for i ts endless t raffic yet that is the p lace where they

fight for thei r l ives to gained some money.

Here, I would l ike to explore how the c ity looked l ike when most of the peoples are

l iv ing in thei r other wor ld ; a reversed l i fe cyc le . L ights and s i lences. I t i l luminates

the dark in an effort less minimal look. Because now I know, the c ity looked way

beaut ifu l with less l ights and noise. I was doubt i f I could find the inner peace of

the c ity through these photographs, though. But there you go.

To show my personal des ign aesthet ic , i t r ied to create a logo that has no logogram so in order to

create a sense of d i rect se l l ing. I maximized my design aesthet ics by doing monochromatic & nega-

t ive space on the logo and a lso on the stat ionery designs.
