ABOUTSophus is a mobile app that helps college stu-dents get questions answered by students from their own campus. The campus-exclusive app is the best source for students to discover the latest and hottest questions on their own campus on topics, such as classes, food, clubs…etc.

PROBLEMLinkedIn can be impervious to those without pre-existing connections; Meetup makes some people feel so-cially awkward. “What’s your story?” fills the gaps these two leave open.

CrowdCompass by Cvent is a company dedicated to devel-oping event mobile apps for conference and meetings. I was a UX design intern on the CrowdCompass UX team in Port-land. Over the summer, I worked on the design of the new feature 1:1 Appointment and redesign the Android interface.

APPOINTMENT FEATURE
1 to 1 Appointment: View all invitations
Design an user-friendly 1:1 Apponitment function for usesr to make an ap-pointment with other at-tendees within the app.
TASKS
Drew the function flow first, then used Axure to make an interaction pro-totype. After conducting 5 usability tests, used Sketch to make a hi-fi prototype.

From there, she trasitioned into the role of Implementation Analyst on the Professional Services team. In her current role, Maria consults with clients to understand their unique requirements and identity specific goals for implementing a new technology. She works in Cvent’s headquarters in Mclean, Virginia and lives in the District of Columbia.
