DESCRIPTION The concept ‘the simpliest rest’ is to serve the experience of serene garden for users. Since they are the owner of the bus-siness and been through chaos and loads of tension all day, The Idea is to propose them with the sense of nature and down-to-earth design to help soothing their tension as well as relaxing them.

MATER PLAN The space is devided into 3 parts due to the function 1. The main entry space. 2. The relaxing courtyard. 3. The gathering space.

DETAIL The relaxing courtyard, located in the middle of the house, is the space that help connecting other parts of the house togeth-er. There is a pond settle in the middle of the court, providing relaxation atmosphere and cool temperature, Its functions are varies as it can be used for outdoor meet-ing, outdoor dinning, carb fish feeding, yoga etc.. and it works as a view for other parts of the house aswell.

DESCRIPTION

The concept’HIDE and SEEK’ is inspired by such a unique topography of the site; as it is located on Kanchanaburi province in the myst of valley and existing rain forest. The design is using the benefit from such a special topography in planning to play with human perception and surround-ing; by hiding something then let them gradually found it in the propiate moment.

MATER PLAN Facilities and office is settle in the middle of the site as The main core, and the clubhouse building can be spotted from the entrance of the site. then, distribute as a hiding residential into 2 parts. all the way people wander in the site will spot some-thing that lead to other then found. The project devided into 4 zone:1. welcome zone2. facilities zone3. residential zone4. service zone

EGAT, the owner of project, intend to develope some phase of Electricity generating Dam Area as a homestay project pro-vided for tourists and EGAT employers for a commercial use.

BROWNFIELD REMEDIATION AND REDESIGN PROJECT

L A N D S C A P E S T U D I O 4

C O N C E P TH Y D R O C I T Y

This project is the brownfield site ,The former Refinery area, located near down-town of Bangkok. After the refinery decom-mission, Bangchak is no longer an owner for the government has expropriate the area back for public use. Since the site has potential to be the large floodplain, the water storage and the longest riverfront in Thailand that face Chao Phraya River. This lead to the concept:

‘HYDROCITY’

The site is Bangchak Refinery in Phra Khanong, Bangkok. The objective of landscape architectural studio is to envision the relocation of the refinery and the site regenera-tion in nearly future. After the refinery decommission, what’s next?

bangkok drainage system from diagram: runoff from households is drained into canal which lead to the river then released into the ocean

Former Phrakanong district is a Nypa palm forest. Then, industries has settle down, then community has settle.

In present, Phrakonong district turn to residence zone. Industry have to be removed from site. Also, Bangchak refinery.

After decommision of the Refinery, What’s next?

The site concept can be a pilot project for former indus-trial site along the Chaophraya River. In the future, we will have the great green corridor along the riverside for public use. The green corridor could be flood-plain, water collecting area ,water treatment and etc.

ASA DESIGN FOR FLOODING COMPETITION PROJECT:

‘SHELTER’

C O N T A I N ( E R )C O M M U N I T Y

DESCRIPTION

Team project ,members: Phatra Wongsantimeth Chanin Sheeranangsu Kodchamon Boonsang

The2014 ASA design competition calls on architects and designers to submit design proposal: shelter for disaster ,in an open situations. Design must be provokative and initiative. The idea of the shelter is to design an individual unit which can be aggregate into a strong community, helping each other while wating for hands.

LAND ART GENERATOR INITIATIVEDESIGN COMPETITION 2014

W I N D B R A T O R

DESCRIPTION The 2014 Land Art Generator Initia-tive, in partnership with Refshaleøen Hold-ing and our other project partners, calls on artists and designers to submit proposals for a pragmatic art installation for the de-sign site at Refshaleøen, located across the water from the iconic Little Mermaid Statue. A qualified entry must fulfill the following requirements and be developed to a con-cept design level of detail.h An idea of competition is to design a site-specific public artwork that, inaddition to its conceptual beauty, has the ability to harness energy cleanly from nature and cov-ert it into electricity for thr City of Copenha-gen utility grid.

Our project submission was chosen as

one of the final lists and was published in NEW ENERGIES book and also published on website: http://landartgenera-tor.org/LAGI-2014/ncfp0721/

LAND ART GENERATOR INITIATIVEDESIGN COMPETITION 2014

W I N D B R A T O R

DESCRIPTION

W i n d b r a t o r f i e l d — Land Art of the regenerative metrop-olis-- It can provide electricity to serve the city needs; wind, infinite energy supply, is used as the main concept in energy pro-duction and also represented in a breeze-like form where the view is taken from the outside-in.The proposal planning design takes clues from the average flow direction of the wind to position each pole as radi-al angle and scatter out to catch the wind evenly. Copenhagen wind chart statistic is used as a database to develop planning design; the more strength of wind the more poles are designed to spread out in order to catch most energy. Less pollution is emitted during the production process; hence the electric power contributed is clean and green.

LAND ART GENERATOR INITIATIVEDESIGN COMPETITION 2014

W I N D B R A T O RDESCRIPTION The key is to generate renewable energy from the vibration when the wind blows.Giving the clean and inexhaustible energy as a result and the various effects of Land Art when wind flutter through as the outshot. The project consists of 552 sectional 3*3 meter quadrate poles, with difference height from 15-35 meter to form the arch that rep-resent concept of the breeze. Inside of the pole provide a small semi-public space in room scale before heading to the major pub-lic space in the center. Top 10 meter of each pole hung the ‘Piezoballs’ to harvest electric power. Piezob-all made of piezoelectric ceramic discs which can generate energy through the vibration and cover with translucent material as the outer skin. When they shake, the kinetic force is cap-tured and converted into electric power. The electric power is sent to the source through the conductive cable made of Carbon fibers reinforce resin. 50Wh/year is the average estimated power that can be produced in one Piezoball, One Windbrator contains 400 unit of Piezoball, there are 552of Windbrator house in the area, and hence 11.04MWh/year of electric-ity is produced by Windbrator field in aver-age. n and green.

DESCRIPTION

In the night, when the wind caresses through the Piezoball: the vibrate sensor works and lit up the LED light. The lighting effect that happened gives us a sense of aesthetic through the dark and also works as a season calendar as well. Individ-ual seasons, the difference strength of the wind in each direction create an identity that change over time for the period can be measure through the luminous direction.electric p For provocative conceptual idea, Windbrator can work as a prototype of environmental friendly energy generator for any cities with same site conditions in the near future. It produces sustainable energy and causes less harm to environment. The usage area is less than high voltage pole; moreover the space below can be flexible used in multiple functions. It can be an al-ternative electricity generator in days ahead so far.ower contributed is clean and green.
