groundfloor plan
The project take over coordination of general services and both technical and procedural fases, together with final and structural design , mobility schemes and architectural renovations. The intervention area includes the baroque quarter of the City of Rome and the nearby Villa Borghese, both expression of values of international importance as historical and landscape heritage. The intervention area is located over a large area of 92 Ha adjacent to the ancient artifact of the Aurelian Walls, Villa Borghese in the portion located along the Pincian Gate Avenue in San Paolo of Brazil, and the important urban artery of Viale del MuroTorto. currently the whole quadrant is undergoing a major redevelopment that find its basis in the functional reorganization of the underground
parking lot, built in 1973 by architect Luigi Moretti, designed to become a major intermodal system of integrated public and private transport services for the historic center of rome. The project has to take into consideration the new needs of mobility and hospitality of the City of Rome. The existing underground structure (organized on two basement levels mostly intended as parking for cars and motorbikes with a commercial area, which is also arranged on two levels along the connection path between Via Veneto and Piazza di Spagna) will see a set of interventions on different scales to create a system of mobility and accessibility together with hospitality efficient and sustainable.

The L-shaped project area is surrounded by buildings intended mainly for residential use.The kindergarten forms a rectangle with a building area of 1960 square meters on two levels, while the nursery is separated from it by a cycle-pedestrian road and occupies a rectangular area of 500 square meters on 2 levels. The criteria adopted for the design of the school, are the result of reflections on topics which, although different in their nature, may be related, those are:A) Morphological factors: with reference to the formal characteristics of the buildings and their ability to influence the learning behavior
and growth of the child.B) Environmental factors: with reference to those elements of the existing site that will be affected by the new intervention.Central, in the definition of the project, has been the analysis on the pedagogical path beyond that of interaction with the outside world from the point of view of the child. The result of this analysis is therefore a dynamic structure that is, even at an unconscious level able to stimulate the curiosity of the child in what can be considered as the first contact with the outside world, the one not represented by the family.

One thousand two hundred meters, the distance separating the two “blades”, the Lamasinata and Balice.Ten times more will be the lines, areas, quaysjoining the two blades.A board without definition will become an “urban and environmental blade“ that will vary from 5.5 meters in the area close tolamasinata, to become 80 meters in the intermediate space between the two main diameters up to reach 200 meters depths where different natures come together (the pine forest, theforest of eucalyptus trees, the sea and the clouds of water spray). The thickness of earth will have its counterpart on the sea.The three diameters, intermediate areas between land, sea and sky,
will take us to the sea with a sequence of spaces for bathing, forcatering, for leisure and parking, for sports activities, at a distance of 100 meters or 190 meters or again 120 meters from the new coastline.A sequence of places allow us to move in spaceas the dance moves of tango which force us with pleasure andsensuality to direct our eyes and our movements in alldirections. Three orders of colors: tones of blue, green and red take us from north to south. natural materials (wood, earthstabilized, sand, grass, water ...) will accompany the cityto its new relationship with the sea.

The project site is part of the rfi property, currently used as a partially operative depot. The project provides the renovation of two twin buildings with plan dimensions of about 125x18m, willing side by side along the longer side and spaced approximately 14m. each existing building has two floors (ground floor and first floor) and a gable roof of 12.5 m height. The restoration sees the demolition of the central portion of the two buildings and the construction of a merging body with dimensions in plan of about 55x35m and height virtually contained in the existing
profile. The remaining portions of the buildings are redeveloped in order to perform the new functions by acting through consolidations located where it is already present a middle floor, and through the creation of a new floor in the full height areas. The two warehouses above, consist of a reinforced concrete pillar structure with a pitched roof made of reinforced concrete type “Polonceau” trusses, placed at a distance of 2.5 m on a light of about 18m. The pace of the structural pillars is regular, 6m on the short side and 4.50m on the long side of each buildings.

Design project for the redevelopment and conversion into shopping moll of a warehouse (Palermo - Italy). Job assignment, final design approved.role : project development, graphic design, 3d designer.
coca cola warehouse
11 coca cola warehouse
The project is based on a simple idea: deviding the parts that make up the current Coca Cola warehouse and adding another component “warped”, a sort of satellite of the first two parts obtained by the division. The sculptural form is held together by a woven metal cage, that follows the new silhouette. The lateral elevations of the shopping mall are made of glass in order to highlight the internal structure (the skeleton) of the building, a kind of response to the external skeleton represented by the metal cage.
An internal half-height offsetted inward plan divides the ground floor area which is due to became a supermarket to the shops area located on the first floor. But as outside the domes of the former warehouse have been detached, so the new plan that divides the two commercial areas is “broken” in two where the two domes that made up the old building have been separated.

typical plan
The Pigneto district has maintained over the years a unique and distinctive identity, an island city that is configured as a real kind of outskirts near the center of rome, a kind of village within the city. This suburb, which Pasolini affectionately called the “crown of thorns which surrounds the city of God”, is today one of the neighborhoods with the highest population density in the Municipality of Rome and is characterized by new urban dynamics that led it to emerge as a place of transition, a new meeting point and exchange between different realities. The buildings are the synthesis of the interaction of the two systems structuring the area, the Park and the street and in the range where “they” dissolve into each other, hybridize and rise the project buildings which are street and park at the same time.
Interpretation and modification of existing typologies , the new buildings have in their dna both the garden house and the courtyard house typical typologies of the block, but merged into a new type of building that has changed in the light of the new social dynamics taking place . In their lower floors the buildings have a public character: they are connected to the road and to the park through ramps and stairways. The system of shops on the ground floor integrates with the special activities, the residences, and the specialized craft workshops at the first level. The ground floor is a mix of small to medium sized commercial spaces and public services to the neighborhood. The buildings are divided into three compartments that can be realized for subsequent stages.

pontépigneto
ponte’pigneto
The project area is located in the Pigneto neighborhood, at the out-skirts of rome. it is marginal area, at the edge of the compact city, in a neighborhood that only recently has gained a new urban form. The project of the new bridge may represent a concrete opportunity to affirm a new idea of the city, more sensitive to the environmental issues that still struggle to find grounds for application. It can also trig-ger a transformation in the sense of a more sustainable design. The new bridge is an energetic slab that produces more energy than it consumes thanks to the photovoltaic cells integrated in its roof; it also introduces a new hierarchy of values where the environmental impact of architecture acquires importance, rather than its formal ap-pearance.
The new bridge is an icon that, with the ‘tower - mirador’, commu-nicates to the city a new image of the neighborhood and becomes a center of attraction for all citizens. The new bridge is a square which tells of a urban and social mending between the two sides of the valley and restores a physical but also symbolic union between two areas that have experienced a different kind of development and that today can relate to their context in the same way.The new bridge is a theater that stages, through the light installations on the pedestrian slab and the tower, the new image of Pigneto and becomes an aggregation point that expresses the potential of this area in costant transformation.
