A company founded in 2000 and headquartered in Presidente Prudente in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The activities were initiated with only two members of staff who always had faith in its bold projects. Thus, it invested in the commercialization of a wide, complex range of equipment and reagents for laboratory use in university research and in the food, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical and biochemical industries, among other areas. With constant growth, there was market opportunities for the commercialization of other lines, enhancing the range of products already available.

Carlos Galhego Pícaro Administrative Director Responsible for administration and financial control of SPLABOR, his entrepreneurial profile is aimed to making the company become even more competitive and opened to the national and international market, consequently, looking for excellence in the lab products and equipment sector.

The company makes constant researches to assess how

SPLABOR’s partnerships

Over twelve years, SPLABOR has evolved and gained

expansion through forming partnerships. Among the

companies: IKA, Cole-Parmer, Hanna and Shimadzu.

SPLABOR – HANNA

In 2007, activities were started with Hanna Instruments, a

company specializing in the measurement instruments sector

and water analysis. This partnership has allowed the company

to serve a considerable number of customers with products in

several sectors. Therefore, SPLABOR achieved a higher level

in negotiations with Hanna Instruments, in Brazil.

SPLABOR – SHIMADZU

In the same year, there was an opportunity to form another partnership. This time, with Shimadzu do Brasil, well-known for its analytical and semi-analytical balances. Over four years, the number of negotiations has increased significantly and for that reason, Shimadzu in Brazil allowed SPLABOR to import their products.

SPLABOR – COLE-PARMER

In 2011, SPLABOR was chosen, through market research,

from among more than 40 companies, to distribute Cole-

Parmer products in Brazil. The partner company is considered

one of the biggest suppliers of lab equipment in the world. It is

based in Chicago and it is present in more than 50 countries,

having more than 60.000 items in its portfolio.

SPLABOR – IKA

Finally, in 2012, the German company IKA became a partner

company as well. Nowadays, it is considered one of the

biggest lab equipment manufacturers for several research and

development applications. A supplier and present in several

countries, it chose SPLABOR to be the brand distributor in

Brazil.
