_The idea for the school comes from the typical for the place house-garden architectural form and from the islamic philosophy, that knowledge “arrives” to the soul. Peace arrives in the soul of a child by doing._The site of the school is in Rafah, Gaza strip, an area damaged by military conflicts._The school consists of separate building blocks with four classrooms each and gardens in-between for teaching purposes. A covered corridor with learning spaces connects the classes._The structure of the buildings consists of rammed earth walls and a light metal roof._Sustainability strategies are water collection, irrigation, natural cross ventilation, wind energy, a microclimate design as well as recycled materials use and phytodepuration.

_The concept of the art village creates a meeting point between artists and tourists and involves the landscape in an open air exposition._The site of the village is in the alps, close to the border with Austria. _The retrofit of an old mountain house is the first step of the project. The first floor of the hut is extended and occupied by a museum of natural art and workshop spaces._Skylights on the veranda of the house provide visual connection and additional light in the spaces beneath. _Sustainable strategies in the hut design are pv panels, solar cells, energy storage, rain water collection and a geothermal heat pump.

_The off-grid module represents the idea of a wooden art work, of an arch of branch-es deep in the forest. It houses both tourists and artists._The inner organisation of the module offers a two story working or living space with controllable natural light and different user scenarios._The sustainable design approach implements an off-grid electrical supply provided by pv panels and a heating based on a radiant floor system and a herd. Warm water is provided by solar cells. The water is gathered mainly from the rain fall, the toilet is a composite one. The orientation of the buildings provides maximal solar gains on the south roof slope.

_The idea for a new sports hall comes in response of Plovdiv’s need for a modern arena for sports and cultural events. _The site of the sports hall forms part of the largest sports center in Plovdiv. _The building consists of an arena with capacity of up to 7000 people, several train-ing halls, as well as conference rooms, cafes and restaurants._The building’s concept reflects the interrelation between nature, urban landscapes and sport. The wave-like roofing of the hall resembles the hilly landscape of Plovdiv. _The building’s structure consists of metal truss, while the sports halls represent inter-connected frames independent from the roofing.

_A chain of introverted university buildings and open public edifices is the urbanl so-lution to the project for the connection between the university campus Heidelberg and the city._The rehabilitation centre, at the beginning of the chain, represents an introverted building with a dynamic mantle and a steady core._The mantle consists of an organic facade and a main corridor which is oriented to the outside and serves as a connection and a communication zone._The core comprises the main spaces which face a calm patio with a green area.
_The idea behind the Berliner Box was born as a natural response to the need of modern working people to spend their spare time or lunch break out in the fresh air without preparing the food themselves. The box could be a pavilion for the sale of ready-made lunch in picnic boxes or a tower with a fine view._The urban setting for the pavilion is the biggest park in Berlin – Tiergarten. However, the idea is conceptually applicable in many different areas and situations._The construction of the Berliner Box consists of metal frames and light translucent panels, as well as prefabricated units for equipping the interior.
_The town of Gmünd in Austria is planning to construct an Art Museum on a hill in close proximity to the centre of the town and its main street. An ancient fortress was also built once on the hill._ The shape of the building comes as a continuation of the hill’s natural forms._The museum is conceptualized like a path symbolizing the natural extension of the main town street, as well as the steep staircase leading to the hill-top; a continuation which leads simultaneously alongside the ancient castle and into the mystics of art._The internal organization of the museum is also founded on the idea of the road. It constitutes a corridor with a varying width along its path and numerous lay-bys at different exhibition rooms. _A new public area is formed in the space between the museum and the fortress.

_The focus of the project is a high-density housing complex combining the comfort of a family house in the country with with all modern conveniences of a life in the centre of Berlin. _The urban site of the project is a popular central district in Berlin in close proximity to the river._A six-meter high plinth that accommodates ateliers and workshops forms the foun-dation of the housing complex._Four different types of row houses are built on top of the plinth forming little lanes in between their five rows, creating the feeling of a calm neighbourhood .
