Baroque and the Moon
The roof of the baroque house echoes with the branches around. Behind the house lie the moon,
bats, and a crow, which add an element of mystery. I’ve always been fascinated by the baroque
style and/or vampires, so I set the house in a lonely forest.

Leaf Bridge
The design of the bridge is inspired by a leaf. This picture also shows the idea of an
environmental-conscious modern structure. I am not sure whether this bridge can withstand the
weight of the cars running on it, which I look forward to learning systematically at CCA.

Bark Cover
After I saw a stump by the street, I created this building with odd shapes of blocks covered by an
exterior material looking like tree barks, indicating the unbreakable bond between modern
architecture and the environment.

Functional Building
I got the idea from the Bruj Al Arab. This is designed to be an up-scale hotel on the beach, with
both an attractive and modern look and the ability to withstand the constant strong winds.

Functional Building
The one on the left is a simple mall demonstrating my perspective and control of lines. It is a six-
storey mall and one of its sides has a large billboard to attract more people to come to the mall. I
particularly like the building on the right for its elaborate layout. The building was first drawn by
pencil then by marker.

Fear and Loathing in the Subway
I get the inspiration from the game called Boost 2. A bottomless tunnel with cubes rolling in it and
a huge eyeball peaking inside. The gravity-defying man with a distorted shadow has nowhere to
hide from the eye.

Predator and Prey
The prototype of this strange spider is my globe. With furry legs and a constantly turning eyeball,
it turns into a dreadful predator. Humans being the hunted for once, I was hoping this drawing can
make people realize what a pressing issue animal protection really is.

Man and Umbrella
In fact, the umbrella here derived from my reading lamp. The umbrella squeezing through
represents the all-pervasive religious beliefs. The curly lines with little circle windows are meant
to be the inside of the little man’s brain. The drawing shows how religions “invade” our mind.

Park
It was my first marker drawing. Making full use of the odd-shaped spaces here and there in the
city helps us stay grateful for the truly invaluable things, including but not limited to fresh air,
sunshine, and green plants.

Reindeer with LV
Experimenting my time exposure technique, I held my camera on the tripod for the first 10
seconds, and then started to shake it to create this light effect.
