Photography Final

Original 8mm film, taken in the late 1950’s, was run through an enlarger and processed using standard darkroom techniques. Thiscreated a negative image that was used as a photogram to produce the final positive image. Strips were cut and cur led so that the images may flutter in a breeze like passing memories through one’s mind.

CHINA: Urban spaces are vast, impersonal, and lack texture. The scale of the sur round ings lack a connect ion to the peop le ut i l i z ing the space .

ITALY: Urban space are set to an intimate human scale. Color and texture enliven the space, and plant and water add to the overall appeal.

whole. A leaf i s suspended f rom a

plant by the pet iole which ex tends

to form the midr ib providing

suppor t for the blade. A s imple

cant i levered form can suppor t a

large load.

The roof of the arena ut i l izes this

ent i re roof to spread f rom one l ine

and never touch the ground.
